Product Description
The Ibanez UKS100-OPN is a compact soprano ukulele that blends traditional tone with modern playability. With its all-sapele body, comfortable okoume neck and responsive purpleheart fretboard, it delivers a warm, bright voice that is ideal for beginners and experienced players alike. Finished in a lightweight Open Pore Natural satin and supplied with a dedicated Ibanez gig bag, it is ready to travel, practise and perform wherever you go.
Whether you are learning your first chords, accompanying vocals or adding ukulele textures to your recordings, the UKS100-OPN keeps things simple, musical and inspiring. Thoughtful touches like tall frets, open-gear tuners and a side sound port make it feel and sound far more refined than its modest size suggests.
Warm, Traditional Ukulele Tone
The UKS100-OPN features sapele for the top, back and sides, giving you a classic ukulele sound with a pleasing balance of warmth and brightness. Chords ring clearly, single notes cut through without harshness, and the overall response is lively and musical, making it a great choice for strumming, fingerpicking and everything in between.
Comfortable, Player-Friendly Neck
An okoume neck keeps the instrument light and comfortable, so longer playing sessions feel effortless. Paired with a smooth purpleheart fretboard, the neck encourages clean fretting and easy chord changes, helping newer players progress quickly while still offering enough refinement for more advanced techniques.
Enhanced Projection with Side Sound Port
A discreet side sound port on the body directs more of the instrument’s sound towards you as you play. This improves your personal monitoring, making it easier to hear nuances in your dynamics and intonation, which is especially useful when practising quietly or playing in small acoustic settings.
Lightweight Finish and Included Gig Bag
The Open Pore Natural matte finish keeps the wood feeling organic and resonant under the hands, while also reducing overall weight. Combined with the included Ibanez gig bag designed for the soprano body, the UKS100-OPN is easy to carry, store and protect between rehearsals, lessons and performances.
