Ibanez UEW12E Electro Acoustic Concert Ukulele in Open Pore Natural

The Ibanez UEW12E-OPN is a stylish electro-acoustic concert ukulele that blends eye-catching looks with practical performance features. With its flamed maple top, cutaway body shape and built-in AEQ2U preamp with tuner, it is a fantastic choice for players who want a comfortable, great-sounding uke that is ready for the stage or studio.

A concert-sized body offers a comfortable feel and a clear, focused voice that works brilliantly for both strumming and fingerpicking. The open pore natural finish lets the wood breathe and resonate freely, while the onboard electronics make it easy to plug straight into an amp or PA and be heard in any setting. Whether you are a guitarist moving to ukulele or a dedicated uke player looking to upgrade, the UEW12E-OPN delivers a versatile, gig-ready package.

Visually, the flamed maple top gives this ukulele a premium, boutique-inspired appearance that stands out without being over the top. The cutaway design not only adds to the modern look but also gives you easier access to higher frets, opening up more melodic and soloing possibilities. This makes the UEW12E-OPN ideal for players who want to explore the full range of the instrument rather than staying in first position.

On the practical side, quality hardware and electronics help keep your focus on playing. Grover tuners provide smooth, reliable tuning stability, while the AEQ2U preamp lets you shape your sound and tune silently on stage. The result is a ukulele that feels reassuringly solid, sounds great acoustically and amplified, and looks the part in any musical situation.

Stage Ready Electro-Acoustic Design

The built-in AEQ2U preamp with onboard tuner turns the UEW12E-OPN into a true performance instrument. You can plug directly into an amp, PA or audio interface and use the onboard controls to balance your tone, saving time and hassle with external gear. The integrated tuner means you can quickly check your tuning between songs without needing a separate pedal or clip-on.

Flamed Maple Top with Open Pore Natural Finish

The flamed maple top gives this ukulele a bright, articulate voice with plenty of clarity, helping your chords and melodies cut through in a mix. The open pore natural finish allows the wood to resonate more freely than a heavy gloss, contributing to a lively, responsive feel under the fingers while showcasing the beautiful grain of the maple.

Comfortable Cutaway Concert Body

The concert-sized body strikes a great balance between comfort and projection, making it easy to hold for long practice sessions or gigs. The cutaway design provides improved access to the upper frets, encouraging more adventurous playing and making it easier to incorporate lead lines, chord extensions and higher-register melodies into your music.

Reliable Grover Tuners

Grover tuners are known for their smooth operation and dependable tuning stability. On the UEW12E-OPN they help keep your ukulele in tune for longer, reducing the need for constant adjustments and giving you the confidence to focus on your performance, whether you are rehearsing, recording or playing live.
