Ibanez SRMS806-DTW SR-Series Multi-Scale 6-String in Bass Guitar in Deep Twilight

The Ibanez SRMS806-DTW is a modern 6 string multi scale bass designed for players who demand piano like clarity, tight low end and effortless playability across an extended range. With its 33.6 to 35.5 inch fan fretted scale, Bartolini BH2 pickups and powerful Ibanez Custom 3 band EQ, it delivers articulate, controlled tone that stays focused whether you are holding down the groove or exploring chordal and solo work.

A Poplar Burl top over an Okoume body keeps the instrument lightweight yet resonant, while the 5 piece Jatoba and Walnut neck with a bound Panga Panga fingerboard offers a fast, comfortable feel. Finished in Deep Twilight with sleek black hardware, the SRMS806 looks as sophisticated as it sounds, making it a serious tool for progressive, technical and modern bass styles.

Multi Scale Clarity and Comfort

The SRMS806 features a carefully judged multi scale layout from 35.5 inches on the low B to 33.6 inches on the high C. This balances string tension across the neck, tightening up the low strings for punch and definition while keeping the higher strings supple and easy to bend. The result is a more consistent feel under the fingers and a clear, piano like response that stays articulate even when tuned low or playing complex voicings.

Premium SR Neck and Fingerboard

A 5 piece Jatoba and Walnut SRMS6 neck provides strength, stability and a smooth, fast profile that feels instantly familiar to SR players. The bound Panga Panga fretboard adds a snappy, articulate attack with plenty of note separation, ideal for fast runs and intricate lines. Acrylic special inlays guide your way across all 24 frets, making extended range navigation simple on dark stages.

Bartolini BH2 Power and Definition

Dual Bartolini BH2 pickups give the SRMS806 a wide, musical voice with a tight low end and rich, complex mids. Their dual coil design offers a full, even response across all six strings, so chords, tapping and melodic work remain balanced and clear. Whether you prefer a deep, supportive foundation or a more aggressive, cutting tone, the BH2s respond with detail and authority.

Ibanez Custom 3 Band EQ Versatility

The onboard Ibanez Custom Electronics 3 band EQ, complete with a mid frequency switch and EQ bypass, gives you instant control over your sound. Shape your lows, mids and highs to suit any genre, from smooth, scooped modern tones to punchy, mid forward rock and fusion voices. The mid frequency switch lets you target the exact area you want to emphasise or tame, while the bypass option allows you to flip back to a more traditional, passive style response when required.

• Multi Scale 6 String Design - The 33.6 to 35.5 inch multi scale layout evens out string tension, tightening the low B for a focused, defined response while keeping the higher strings comfortable to play. This makes extended range techniques more controllable and keeps your tone clear and punchy across the entire fretboard.
• Bartolini BH2 Dual Coil Pickups - A matched pair of Bartolini BH2 pickups delivers a powerful, articulate sound with a strong low end and detailed mids. Their even string to string balance means complex chords, fast runs and melodic lines all come through with clarity, making them ideal for modern, technical playing styles.
• Ibanez Custom 3 Band EQ with Mid Switch and Bypass - The active 3 band EQ lets you fine tune your bass, mid and treble to suit any mix, while the mid frequency switch allows you to focus on the exact midrange character you need. With EQ bypass on tap, you can instantly move between sculpted active tones and a more straightforward, uncoloured sound.
• Poplar Burl Top on Okoume Body with MR5S Bridge - The Okoume body provides a resonant, responsive core, topped with striking Poplar Burl for a boutique look in the Deep Twilight finish. The MR5S mono rail bridge with 17 mm string spacing maximises string to body transfer and minimises crosstalk between strings, giving you improved definition and precise feel under the right hand.
