Product Description
The Ibanez SR280E-TKF is a sleek, modern 4 string bass that blends effortless playability with powerful, versatile tone. Finished in Transparent Black Flat, its satin look and visible wood grain give it a contemporary, stage ready aesthetic, while the lightweight SR body and slim maple neck make long rehearsals and gigs far more comfortable. With dual Dynamix humbuckers and the Ibanez Phat II EQ on board, you have a huge range of sounds at your fingertips, from tight, articulate punch to thick, boosted low end.
Whether you are stepping up from your first bass or looking for a reliable workhorse for regular live use, the SR280E-TKF delivers the feel and flexibility that the SR series is known for. The extended 24 fret range and fast neck profile invite expressive playing, while the Accu-cast B120 bridge and chrome hardware provide a solid, stable platform for consistent performance night after night.
Tonally, the combination of nyatoh body and Dynamix pickups gives you a clear, defined voice that sits well in any mix. The passive pickups keep things organic and responsive to your touch, while the active Phat II EQ lets you quickly dial in extra low end when you need more weight. From funk and pop to rock and heavier styles, this bass adapts easily to whatever the setlist demands.
Visually understated yet striking up close, the Transparent Black Flat finish showcases the wood grain beneath a smooth satin sheen. Paired with simple white dot inlays and clean chrome hardware, the SR280E-TKF has a refined, modern look that will appeal to players who prefer a bass that looks as sharp as it sounds and feels.
Fast, Comfortable SR Neck
The slim maple neck and SR profile are designed for speed and comfort, making complex lines, fast runs and extended sets far easier on your hands. The 24 fret layout also gives you extra range for solos, chords and melodic playing higher up the neck.
Lightweight Nyatoh Body
The contoured nyatoh body keeps overall weight down while maintaining a full, resonant tone. Its ergonomic shape hugs the body and helps the bass sit comfortably in both seated and standing positions, reducing fatigue during long sessions.
Dynamix Humbucking Pickups
Dual Dynamix humbuckers provide a clear, punchy and versatile sound that works across multiple genres. Their hum cancelling design helps keep noise to a minimum, while their balanced response ensures every note remains defined, whether you are playing fingerstyle, with a pick or slapping.
Ibanez Phat II EQ
The onboard Ibanez Phat II EQ gives you instant access to extra low end when you need it. With a simple control layout and a single 9V battery, you can quickly add depth and weight to your tone without losing clarity, perfect for switching between subtle groove work and big, powerful lines.
