Product Description
The Ibanez SR280E-PW brings the iconic SR feel and sleek looks to an accessible, gig-ready 4-string bass. Finished in a stunning high-gloss Pearl White, it combines a lightweight nyatoh body, slim maple neck and powerful Dynamix humbuckers with Phat II EQ, giving you a comfortable, great-sounding instrument that is ready for any style.
Whether you are just starting your bass journey or looking to upgrade to a fast-playing, modern workhorse, the SR280E-PW delivers. The famously slim SR neck profile makes intricate lines, fast runs and extended sets feel effortless, while the 24-fret layout and long 864 mm scale give you full-range access and a tight, defined low end. Plug in and the dual Dynamix H pickups provide a clear, punchy voice that can be shaped on the fly with the onboard Phat II EQ.
Visually, the Pearl White gloss finish and chrome hardware give the SR280E a clean, contemporary look that stands out on stage without being over the top. Under the surface, the Accu-cast B120 bridge and solid construction keep your tuning stable and your tone focused, so you can concentrate on the music.
Comfortable, Lightweight SR Body
The SR280E-PW uses Ibanez’s classic SR body shape, crafted from nyatoh for a lightweight feel that reduces shoulder and back fatigue. Its contoured design sits naturally against the body whether you play seated or standing, making it ideal for long rehearsals, gigs and studio sessions.
Slim Maple Neck for Fast Playability
A slim, fast maple neck is at the heart of the SR experience, and the SR280E-PW is no exception. The smooth profile and 24-fret fingerboard with white dot inlays make it easy to navigate the entire neck, supporting everything from precise fingerstyle to rapid slap and pick techniques.
Dynamix Humbuckers with Phat II EQ
Dual Dynamix H humbuckers provide a clear, adaptable tone that suits rock, pop, funk and more. Paired with the Ibanez Phat II EQ, you can instantly add extra low-end presence and punch, helping your sound cut through the mix or fill out the bottom end as needed.
Accu-cast B120 Bridge for Solid Stability
The Accu-cast B120 bridge offers a solid, stable platform for the strings, enhancing sustain and improving tuning reliability. Its robust design helps transfer string vibration efficiently to the body, contributing to a tight, focused bass response.
