Product Description
The Ibanez SR280E-MGR brings the sleek, modern SR design to an accessible price point, wrapping it all up in a striking Mint Green gloss finish. Lightweight, comfortable and packed with versatile tones, it is a brilliant choice for players who want a bass that feels effortless to play and can handle anything from tight funk lines to heavy rock.
With its slim maple neck, ergonomic nyatoh body and dual Dynamix humbuckers, the SR280E is built for fast, expressive playing and clear, punchy sound. The onboard Ibanez Phat II EQ lets you dial in extra low-end weight at the push of a knob, while the solid Accu-cast B120 bridge keeps everything feeling stable and responsive under the fingers.
Whether you are stepping up from your first bass or looking for a reliable workhorse for rehearsals and gigs, the SR280E-MGR delivers the playability and tonal flexibility that the SR series is known for, in a finish that will stand out on any stage.
Effortless SR Playability
The SR280E features the classic SR body shape, carved from nyatoh to keep the weight down and the comfort up. Combined with the slim, fast maple neck and a smooth 24 fret fingerboard, it encourages quick runs, complex lines and long sets without fatigue. The ergonomic contours sit naturally against the body whether you play seated or standing.
Versatile Dynamix Pickups
Dual Dynamix H humbuckers provide a clear, balanced voice that works across a wide range of genres. From tight, articulate fingerstyle to punchy picked lines, these pickups keep your sound defined and musical. Their humbucking design helps reduce unwanted noise, so your tone stays focused and controlled.
Phat II EQ for Extra Low-End Punch
The Ibanez Phat II EQ gives you an instant boost of low frequencies and overall presence, ideal for thickening up your sound when the band kicks in. With a simple control layout, you can quickly add depth and power to your tone without losing clarity, making it easy to adapt to different songs and venues.
Stable Accu-cast B120 Hardware
The Accu-cast B120 bridge provides a solid anchor point for the strings, improving tuning stability and helping your notes ring out with confidence. Its design offers secure string seating and consistent response across all four strings, so your playing feels tight and controlled from the first fret to the last.
