Part of the acclaimed SR series, it features a sleek African Mahogany body with a striking Walnut, Panga Panga and Maple top, a fast Atlas-5 neck reinforced with titanium rods, and a flexible active 3 band EQ. Whether you are holding down low B lines in a metal band or exploring intricate fusion grooves, this bass is built to respond with clarity, punch and comfort.

Weighing in at around 3.7 kg and finished in Dual Mocha Burst Flat satin polyurethane, the SR1355B feels light, balanced and ready for long sessions on stage or in the studio. The bound Panga Panga fretboard with abalone oval inlays and Premium fret edge treatment gives a smooth, high end feel under the fingers, while the MR5S bridge and Gotoh machine heads keep everything rock solid and in tune. Nordstrand Big Single pickups deliver a bold, articulate voice that cuts through the mix without sacrificing warmth.

At the heart of the SR1355B is Ibanez Custom Electronics 3 band EQ with an EQ bypass mode and 3 way mid frequency switch, giving you instant access to a wide palette of tones. From tight, focused mids for complex lines to deep, scooped sounds for modern rock, you can shape your sound precisely to the gig. A Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut and premium hardware complete a specification that is designed for serious bassists who demand reliability and refinement.

Finished off with an Ibanez Premium gig bag, the SR1355B-DUF arrives ready to travel between rehearsals, sessions and shows, offering a professional level instrument that looks as good as it sounds.

Premium SR Playability

The SR1355B features the renowned Atlas-5 5 piece Panga Panga and Purpleheart neck with KTS titanium rods, delivering a slim, fast profile that encourages technical playing without fatigue. The combination of stiff neck construction and ergonomic SR body contour makes extended sets and demanding techniques feel natural and controlled.

Expressive Nordstrand Big Single Tone

Loaded with a pair of Nordstrand Big Single pickups, this bass offers a powerful, single coil character with plenty of midrange presence and definition. The result is a tone that stays articulate on the low B, punches through dense mixes and responds dynamically to your right hand, from subtle ghost notes to aggressive pick attack.

Advanced Active Electronics

Ibanez Custom Electronics 3 band EQ, complete with EQ bypass mode and a 3 way mid frequency switch, gives you studio grade tone shaping at your fingertips. You can quickly move from vintage inspired, more passive style sounds to modern, hi-fi clarity, tailoring the mid focus to suit different rooms, genres and playing styles.

Stable Hardware and Refined Details

The MR5S bridge with adjustable string spacing and Gotoh machine heads provide precise tuning stability and intonation, while the Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut enhances sustain and consistency across all five strings. Medium frets with Premium edge treatment and the bound Panga Panga fretboard add a smooth, luxurious feel that elevates every note.

• Atlas-5 Panga Panga and Purpleheart Neck with KTS Titanium Rods - The 5 piece neck construction and internal titanium reinforcement deliver excellent stability and resistance to warping, so your setup stays consistent across seasons and tours. The slim SR profile makes fast runs, complex chords and extended techniques feel effortless.
• Nordstrand Big Single Pickups - These high quality single coil pickups provide a bold, articulate voice with plenty of growl and presence. They capture the nuances of your playing while maintaining clarity on the low B, making them ideal for modern genres that demand both punch and detail.
• Ibanez Custom 3 Band EQ with Mid Switch and Bypass - The active EQ lets you sculpt bass, mid and treble precisely, while the 3 way mid frequency switch targets different parts of the midrange for fine tuning your place in the mix. The EQ bypass mode offers a more traditional, passive style response when you want a simpler, more organic tone.
• MR5S Bridge and Gotoh Machine Heads - The MR5S bridge features adjustable string spacing so you can dial in your preferred feel, from tight for fast fingerstyle to wider for slap.
