Ibanez RG8620AH-AGF J Custom Electric Guitar in Anvil Gray Burst Flat

The Ibanez RG8620AH-AGF is a premium j.custom instrument that brings together Japanese craftsmanship, ultra-fast playability and a powerful, articulate voice. With its striking ash top over African mahogany, Super Wizard AS neck and DiMarzio humbuckers, this RG is built for players who demand precision, comfort and consistency on stage and in the studio.

Every detail of this guitar has been meticulously refined, from the hand-finished neck with its silky Velvetouch feel to the Lo-Pro Edge tremolo that stays rock solid under the most extreme whammy bar abuse. The classic DiMarzio PAF Pro and Tone Zone pairing delivers everything from glassy cleans to saturated high-gain tones, while coil-tap capability adds extra versatility for modern session work and genre-hopping players.

Visually, the RG8620AH-AGF is every bit as impressive as it sounds. The Anvil Gray Burst Flat finish highlights the grain of the ash top, while the iconic Tree of Life inlay and Luminlay side dots ensure you always know where you are on the neck, even on the darkest stages. This is a serious, no-compromise performance tool that rewards fast, technical playing yet feels effortless for expressive bends, vibrato and chord work.

Handcrafted in Japan to j.custom standards, the RG8620AH-AGF is designed to be the centrepiece of any professional rig, offering a blend of speed, stability and tonal flexibility that will keep up with whatever your music demands.

Super Wizard AS Neck with Velvetouch Finish

The 5 piece maple and wenge Super Wizard AS neck is built for speed and precision, with a slim, flat profile that makes complex runs, wide stretches and advanced techniques feel natural. The Velvetouch finish on the back of the neck provides a smooth, satin-like feel that reduces stickiness, helping you glide between positions with minimal effort during long sets or demanding studio sessions.

Ash Top on African Mahogany Body

An ash top paired with an African mahogany body delivers a balanced tonal foundation with both punch and warmth. The ash adds snap, clarity and definition, ideal for tight riffing and articulate lead lines, while the mahogany supplies depth and sustain. The Anvil Gray Burst Flat finish showcases the grain of the ash, giving the guitar a modern, high-end aesthetic that stands out under stage lights.

DiMarzio PAF Pro and Tone Zone Pickups with Coil Tap

The DiMarzio PAF Pro in the neck and Tone Zone in the bridge provide a versatile, high-performance H H setup. The PAF Pro offers open, vocal mids and sweet highs that excel for singing leads and expressive cleans, while the Tone Zone delivers thick, harmonically rich drive with plenty of low-end authority for modern rock and metal. Coil-tap functionality expands your palette further, giving you brighter, more single coil like textures for funk, pop and intricate rhythm work.

Lo Pro Edge Tremolo and Gotoh Hardware

The Lo Pro Edge locking tremolo system offers smooth, low-profile operation that stays out of the way of your picking hand while delivering rock-solid tuning stability. Paired with a locking nut, Gotoh machine heads and strap lock pins, this hardware package is built to withstand aggressive whammy use and energetic performances, letting you focus on your playing without worrying about tuning or security.
