Product Description
The Ibanez M510E-OVS is a classic A-style mandolin fitted with a discreet magnetic pickup, giving you traditional acoustic tone with the option to plug in for more volume and control. Whether you are playing folk, bluegrass, country or adding mandolin textures to a band, it is a compact, comfortable instrument that is ready for both practice and performance.
With its familiar teardrop A-style body and comfortable neck, the M510E-OVS feels instantly approachable, even if you are coming from guitar. The onboard magnetic pickup lets you connect directly to an amp or PA system, making it easy to be heard in louder ensembles without sacrificing the character of your sound.
The mandolin’s construction is designed to provide a clear, bright voice with plenty of cut, ideal for fast melodies and rhythmic chops. At the same time, the overall build is practical and reliable, so you can focus on playing rather than worrying about delicate hardware or complex electronics.
Finished in a distinctive Open Pore Vintage Sunburst, the M510E-OVS has a traditional look that suits everything from pub sessions to stage work. It is a straightforward, gig-ready mandolin that offers great value for players who want both acoustic feel and simple plug-in convenience.
Magnetic Pickup with Simple Controls
The built-in magnetic pickup allows you to plug straight into an amplifier or PA, giving you more volume and presence when you need it. With basic onboard controls, you can quickly adjust your sound on the instrument itself, making it easy to adapt to different rooms and mixes.
Comfortable A-Style Body
The traditional A-style body offers a familiar, compact shape that sits comfortably whether you are standing or seated. Its teardrop outline helps produce a focused, articulate tone that works well for both lead lines and rhythm playing.
Playable Neck for Fast Lines
The slim, mandolin-specific neck profile is designed to make fast runs, tremolo picking and chord changes feel natural. This helps newer players get up to speed quickly, while more experienced mandolinists will appreciate the ease of movement across the fretboard.
Open Pore Vintage Sunburst Finish
The Open Pore Vintage Sunburst finish gives the instrument a classic, rootsy aesthetic that fits a wide range of acoustic styles. The open pore treatment allows the wood to resonate more freely, helping the mandolin respond dynamically to your picking attack.
