Every element of this limited edition has been carefully chosen to enhance playability and tone. From tight, focused metal tones to warm, singing fusion lines and everything in between, the JCSR2023-RCY is designed to keep up with the most demanding players.

The River Canyon finish gives this bass a distinctive visual identity that stands out without ever feeling over the top. Combined with tasteful Mother of Pearl and Abalone dot inlays and gold hardware, it looks every bit as refined as it feels in the hands. This is a serious instrument for serious bassists who want a unique, limited edition centrepiece in their collection.

Under the satin polyurethane finish, the Honduran Mahogany body provides a rich, resonant foundation with excellent sustain and a naturally musical midrange. Paired with the extended 864 mm scale length, the low B string remains tight and defined, making this bass ideal for modern 5-string work where clarity and punch are essential.

Exclusive River Canyon Finish

The custom River Canyon finish gives this j.custom SR a unique, boutique look that sets it apart from standard production models. Its flowing, organic aesthetic mirrors the depth and movement of the instrument’s tone, making it a visually striking choice for players who want their bass to make a statement before they even play a note.

Premium Tonewoods and Construction

A Honduran Mahogany body delivers warmth, resonance and impressive sustain, providing a solid tonal core that responds beautifully to different playing styles. The 5-piece Maple/Purpleheart neck adds strength and stability, helping the bass stay in tune and feel consistent across changing environments and long sessions.

Fast, Stable Neck

The slim, ergonomic SR neck profile is renowned for its comfort and speed, making complex lines, fast runs and extended sets feel effortless. The 5-piece construction enhances rigidity, while the smooth finish ensures your fretting hand can glide up and down the neck with minimal resistance.

Nordstrand Big Single Power

Equipped with Nordstrand Big Single pickups in both neck and bridge positions, this bass delivers a bold, detailed voice with the punch of a single coil and the authority needed for modern genres. Expect clear note definition, rich harmonics and a dynamic response that rewards expressive playing and nuanced technique.
