Product Description
The Ibanez JS2470-CS is Joe Satriani’s Japanese-built Prestige signature model in a stunning Cherry Sunburst finish. Combining a sleek JS 3 piece maple and bubinga neck, an alder body and a powerful DiMarzio Satch Track and Mo’ Joe pickup pairing, it is built to deliver fluid playability, expressive tone and rock solid tuning stability for demanding players.
From singing lead lines and legato runs to tight rhythm work and articulate cleans, this guitar is voiced to cover the full range of Satriani’s genre hopping style. The comfortable neck profile and rosewood fretboard invite fast, effortless playing, while the Edge tremolo and locking nut keep things stable when you dive into extreme vibrato and pitch effects.
The JS2470-CS sits in the Ibanez Prestige series, which is known for meticulous Japanese craftsmanship and attention to detail. Every contour, fret edge and control layout is designed to feel intuitive in the hand, letting you focus on your playing rather than fighting the instrument.
Finished in a classic Cherry Sunburst with black hardware and simple white dot inlays, it offers a timeless, stage ready look that suits everything from instrumental rock to modern fusion and beyond.
JS Prestige Playability
The JS 3 piece maple and bubinga neck is carved for speed and comfort, with a profile that feels slim without being insubstantial. Combined with the smooth rosewood fretboard and precise fretwork, it allows fast runs, wide stretches and complex chords to feel natural, reducing fatigue during long rehearsals and gigs.
Versatile DiMarzio Pickups
A DiMarzio Satch Track single coil sized humbucker in the neck and a DiMarzio Mo’ Joe humbucker in the bridge provide a wide tonal palette. From warm, vocal neck tones to punchy, harmonically rich bridge sounds, you can move between singing leads, crunchy rhythms and articulate cleans with ease, all while keeping noise under control.
High Pass Filter for Clarity
The volume control features a high pass filter that preserves your top end when you roll the volume back. This means you can clean up your sound from the guitar without it turning muddy, giving you more dynamic control and allowing you to move between gain levels without touching your amp or pedals.
Edge Tremolo and Gotoh Hardware
The Ibanez Edge tremolo system works with the locking nut and Gotoh machine heads to deliver smooth pitch bends and flutter effects while helping to maintain tuning stability. You can use the bar aggressively for expressive vibrato and divebombs, confident that the guitar is designed to return accurately to pitch.
