Centred around the sleek SR silhouette, this J.Custom model features a fast 5-piece Atlas-5 HP Maple and Purpleheart neck, an ebony fretboard and a resonant Honduras Mahogany body topped with figured Maple Burl. Nordstrand Big Single pickups, Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ and a rock-solid MR5S bridge give you a huge tonal range with pinpoint control, while gold hardware and ornate inlays complete a genuinely high-end aesthetic.

J.Custom Japanese Craftsmanship

Built in Japan to Ibanez J.Custom standards, the JCSR2025-SSC benefits from meticulous fretwork, flawless finishing and carefully matched tonewoods. The result is a bass that feels incredibly refined in the hands, with smooth edges, a perfectly set neck and a responsive, lively acoustic character that inspires you to play more and play better.

Premium Tonewoods and Sunset Coast Aesthetics

A Honduras Mahogany body provides a warm, full low end and rich midrange presence, while the Maple Burl top adds visual drama and a touch of extra snap and clarity. The high-gloss polyester finish in Sunset Coast lets the figuring shine through under stage lights, and the gold hardware and Mother of Pearl and Abalone oval inlays give the instrument an unmistakably high-class look.

Fast Atlas-5 Neck and Ebony Fretboard

The 5-piece Atlas-5 HP Maple and Purpleheart neck is engineered for stability and speed, ideal for technical lines, extended-range grooves and modern playing styles. Paired with a smooth ebony fretboard, it delivers a quick attack, rich sustain and a clear, articulate response across all 24 frets, making complex runs and chordal work feel effortless.

Nordstrand Big Singles with Custom 3-Band EQ

Wood-covered Nordstrand Big Single pickups provide a powerful, punchy voice with the clarity of a single coil and the authority needed for contemporary bass tones. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ, with active circuitry and EQ bypass, lets you sculpt your sound precisely, from deep, rounded lows to cutting, modern slap tones, all from the instrument itself.

MR5S Bridge and Gotoh Hardware

The MR5S bridge offers adjustable string spacing of ±1.5 mm, allowing you to fine-tune the feel to suit fingerstyle, pick or slap techniques. Combined with Gotoh machine heads and a Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nut, the hardware package provides excellent tuning stability, accurate intonation and a solid, confident feel under the fingers.
