Product Description
The Ibanez ICMS721-IPT ICEMAN Axe Design Lab 7 String Multi Scale in Iron Pewter takes the iconic ICEMAN silhouette into modern metal territory. With a multi scale fingerboard, extended low range and high performance hardware, it is purpose-built for down-tuned riffing, articulate leads and progressive playing styles.
Balancing aggressive looks with serious ergonomics, this ICEMAN is designed to feel as good as it sounds. The fan-fret layout tightens up the low strings while keeping the higher strings slinky and expressive, so you can move from crushing rhythm work to fluid solos without compromise. A carefully contoured body and fast neck profile keep you comfortable through long rehearsals, studio sessions and gigs.
Tonally, the ICMS721-IPT delivers the clarity and punch that modern players demand. The extended scale length on the bass side keeps the low B string focused and defined, helping complex chords and rapid-fire riffs stay tight even under heavy gain. The bridge and electronics are engineered to provide stable tuning and a responsive, dynamic voice that cuts through any mix.
Finished in a sleek Iron Pewter, this ICEMAN looks every bit as formidable as it sounds. Subtle metallic sheen and sharp lines give it a stage-ready presence that stands out without sacrificing sophistication. If you want a 7 string that combines classic Ibanez attitude with cutting-edge playability, the ICMS721-IPT is built to deliver.
Multi Scale 7 String Design
The multi scale layout optimises string tension across the neck, with a longer scale for the low strings and a shorter scale for the high strings. This keeps the low B string tight and defined for down-tuned riffs while maintaining a familiar, comfortable feel for bends and vibrato on the treble side.
Iconic ICEMAN Body Shape
The legendary ICEMAN outline gives this guitar a commanding stage presence while remaining well balanced on a strap or seated. Its offset curves and extended horn provide easy upper fret access, making it ideal for expressive lead work as well as heavy rhythm playing.
High Performance Neck and Fingerboard
A slim, fast neck profile and carefully finished fingerboard edges support quick position shifts and complex chord shapes. The multi scale fret layout is designed to feel natural under the hand, helping you adapt quickly and play with confidence across all seven strings.
Iron Pewter Finish
The Iron Pewter finish combines a dark, metallic aesthetic with a refined, modern look. It complements the angular ICEMAN design and hardware, giving the guitar a cohesive visual identity that suits everything from progressive metal to hard rock.
