Product Description
The Ibanez GSR100EX-MOL is a sleek, no-nonsense 4 string bass from the popular GIO series, designed to deliver solid tone and effortless playability at a price that is ideal for beginners and budget-conscious players. With its slim GSR4 maple neck, lightweight poplar body and simple single-pickup layout, it is a great choice for anyone who wants to plug in and get playing without being overwhelmed by controls.
Finished in a natural-looking Mahogany Oil with gloss polyurethane, the GSR100EX-MOL has a stripped-back, modern aesthetic that looks as good on stage as it does in the rehearsal room. The passive PPD4 bridge pickup provides punchy, focused bass tones that sit well in a mix, while the Phat EQ circuit lets you quickly add extra low-end presence when you need more weight and authority.
Comfort is at the heart of the GSR design. The slim neck profile and smooth Jatoba fretboard make it easy to move around the 34 inch scale, helping new players build confidence and more experienced bassists enjoy fast, fatigue-free sessions. The lightweight poplar body keeps the overall weight down, making long rehearsals and gigs far more manageable.
With its straightforward control layout, reliable B10 bridge and chrome hardware, the Ibanez GSR100EX-MOL offers dependable performance and a surprisingly versatile sound for such an accessible instrument. Whether you are buying your first bass or looking for a reliable backup, this GIO series model delivers excellent value for money.
Comfortable GSR4 Maple Neck
The slim GSR4 maple neck is designed for easy playability, making it ideal for beginners and players with smaller hands. Its comfortable profile encourages clean fretting and smooth position shifts, helping you focus on your playing rather than fighting the instrument.
Lightweight Poplar Body
The poplar body keeps the bass light and well balanced, reducing shoulder and back strain during longer playing sessions. This makes the GSR100EX-MOL a practical choice for rehearsals, gigs or extended practice at home.
PPD4 Passive Bridge Pickup with Phat EQ
The Ibanez PPD4 passive bridge pickup delivers a tight, punchy tone that cuts through the mix, while the Phat EQ circuit lets you boost the low end for extra depth when needed. This combination gives you a surprising range of usable sounds from a simple, single-pickup setup.
Simple, Player-Friendly Controls
A straightforward control layout keeps things intuitive, so you can dial in your sound quickly without distraction. This is especially helpful for new players who want to concentrate on learning songs and technique rather than managing complex electronics.
