Ibanez GSR100EX-BK GIO Series Bass Guitar in Black

The Ibanez GSR100EX-BK is a sleek, no-nonsense 4-string bass that delivers solid tone, easy playability and dependable performance at a price that is ideal for beginners and budget-conscious players. Part of the popular GIO range, it distils the essence of the SR series into a stripped-back, rock-ready instrument finished in classic Black with matching chrome hardware.

With its slim GSR4 maple neck and lightweight poplar body, the GSR100EX-BK feels instantly comfortable whether you are practising at home, rehearsing with a band or stepping onto your first stage. The simple single-pickup layout and intuitive controls keep you focused on your playing, while the Phat EQ circuit helps you dial in a punchy, full-bodied sound that sits perfectly in the mix.

The combination of a Jatoba fretboard, 864 mm scale length and 19 mm string spacing at the bridge gives you a familiar, responsive feel that suits a wide range of styles, from rock and pop to funk and punk. The passive PPD4 bridge pickup provides a tight, defined voice with plenty of low-end presence and midrange punch, making it easy to cut through drums and guitars without getting lost.

Whether you are picking up the bass for the first time or looking for a reliable backup instrument, the Ibanez GSR100EX-BK offers impressive quality and tone in a straightforward, stage-ready package.

Comfortable GSR4 Neck

The slim GSR4 maple neck is designed for fast, comfortable playing, especially for newer bassists or guitarists making the switch to bass. Its profile makes it easier to reach notes, move around the fretboard and play longer sessions with less fatigue.

Focused PPD4 Bridge Pickup with Phat EQ

The Ibanez PPD4 bridge pickup delivers a tight, punchy sound with clear attack and strong midrange presence. Paired with the Phat EQ circuit, you can quickly add extra low-end thickness and presence, giving you a more powerful, rounded tone without complicated controls.

Lightweight Poplar Body

The poplar body keeps the bass comfortably light while providing a balanced tonal character. This makes the GSR100EX-BK easy to handle during long rehearsals or gigs, and helps your sound remain clear and controlled across the frequency range.

Simple, Gig-Ready Hardware

The B10 bridge with 19 mm string spacing offers a stable platform and a familiar feel under the right hand, while chrome hardware completes the classic look. The straightforward control layout lets you adjust your sound quickly, so you can concentrate on playing rather than tweaking.
