Ibanez GRG7221-WH Series Electric Guitar in White

The Ibanez GRG7221-WH is an affordable 7-string electric guitar that opens the door to extended range riffing without sacrificing playability or style. With its sleek White finish, dual Infinity R humbuckers and rock-solid fixed bridge, it is a brilliant choice for players stepping into the world of 7-strings for the first time or anyone wanting a reliable workhorse for modern metal, djent, prog and beyond.

Part of the GIO series, the GRG7221-WH delivers the aggressive looks and performance Ibanez are known for, at a price that is accessible to beginners and budget-conscious gigging guitarists alike. A comfortable maple neck, bound purpleheart fretboard and lightweight poplar body make long rehearsals and shows a breeze, while the extended low range lets you explore heavier tunings, thicker chords and massive riffs.

Whether you are moving up from a 6-string or adding a versatile backup guitar to your arsenal, the GRG7221-WH gives you the feel and response you need to play tight, articulate parts with confidence. Plug in, dial up your favourite high-gain tone and you are ready to chug, shred and groove.

Extended Range Made Easy

The 7-string layout gives you access to a deeper low register, perfect for down-tuned metal, modern rock and experimental styles. Having that extra string under your fingers means you can play heavier riffs without constantly retuning, while still keeping all your familiar 6-string shapes and patterns intact.

Comfortable Maple Neck and Bound Purpleheart Fretboard

The maple neck offers a stable, snappy feel with a bright tonal response that helps notes cut through a mix. Paired with a bound purpleheart fretboard and clear white dot inlays, it feels smooth under the fingers and makes navigating the extra string feel natural, even if you are new to 7-strings.

Infinity R Humbuckers for Powerful Tones

A pair of Infinity R ceramic humbuckers deliver the punch and clarity needed for high-gain playing. From tight, percussive rhythm tones to saturated leads, these pickups provide a focused sound with plenty of output, helping your riffs stay defined even with lots of distortion.

Stable Fixed Bridge and Durable Hardware

The F107 fixed bridge keeps things simple and solid, offering reliable tuning stability and strong sustain. Combined with the mono-unit output jack and black hardware, you get a tough, gig-ready instrument that stands up to regular use while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.

• 7-String GIO Design - The extended range lets you explore lower tunings and heavier riffs without losing access to standard 6-string voicings, making it ideal for modern metal, prog and experimental players looking to expand their sonic palette.
• Maple Neck with Bound Purpleheart Fretboard - A stable maple neck provides a bright, responsive feel, while the bound purpleheart fretboard and white dot inlays offer smooth playability and clear visual guidance across all seven strings.
• Infinity R Ceramic Humbuckers (H-H) - The dual Infinity R pickups deliver a powerful, articulate tone that excels with high-gain sounds, giving you tight low end, clear mids and enough output for aggressive rhythm work and soaring leads.
• F107 Fixed Bridge and Mono-Unit Output Jack - The fixed bridge enhances sustain and keeps tuning stable during heavy playing, while the mono-unit output jack improves durability, reducing the risk of crackling connections or loose sockets over time.
