Product Description
The Ibanez GA3ECE-OAM is a comfortable, stage-ready electro-acoustic classical guitar that blends traditional nylon-string tone with modern practicality. With its spruce top, cutaway body and onboard Ibanez electronics, it is ideal for students, singer-songwriters and performers who need a reliable classical that sounds great both unplugged and amplified.
A spruce top delivers clear projection and definition, while meranti back and sides add warmth and balance to your sound. The cutaway classical body shape gives you easier access to higher frets, perfect for melodic playing and more adventurous chord voicings. Plug in via the Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp and undersaddle pickup and you get a natural, articulate amplified tone, with a built-in tuner to keep you in check at rehearsals, on stage or at home.
The open pore amber finish not only looks organic and inviting, it also allows the body to resonate more freely, helping the guitar feel lively and responsive under the fingers. A smooth Nandu Wood fretboard and bridge complete the package, offering a comfortable playing surface that encourages longer practice sessions and expressive performance.
Comfortable Classical Cutaway Design
The GA3ECE-OAM features a classical body with a convenient cutaway, giving you better access to the upper frets without sacrificing the familiar feel of a nylon-string instrument. This makes it a great choice if you are moving beyond first-position chords and want to explore more of the neck with ease.
Clear, Warm Nylon-String Tone
A spruce top provides clarity, projection and strong note definition, ideal for both fingerstyle and strummed parts. Paired with meranti back and sides, the guitar produces a warm, balanced classical character that works well for traditional repertoire, Latin styles and contemporary acoustic songs alike.
Stage-Ready Ibanez Electronics
Equipped with an Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp and Ibanez undersaddle pickup, the GA3ECE-OAM is ready to plug straight into an amp or PA. The system is voiced to capture the natural sound of the guitar, while onboard EQ controls let you quickly shape your tone. The integrated tuner means you can tune discreetly without needing extra gear.
Natural Feel and Smooth Playability
The Nandu Wood fretboard and bridge offer a smooth, comfortable playing surface that feels inviting under the fingers. Combined with the open pore polyurethane finish, the guitar has a more natural, less plasticky feel, helping the body resonate freely and making it a pleasure to play for extended periods.
Features
- Spruce Top for Clarity and Projection - The spruce soundboard delivers a bright, articulate response with excellent note separation, helping your playing cut through in ensembles and making practice sessions more rewarding as every nuance is clearly heard.
- Meranti Back and Sides for Warm Balance - Meranti body woods provide a warm, rounded tonal foundation that balances the brightness of the spruce top, giving you a pleasing, musical sound that suits both solo playing and accompaniment.
- Ibanez AEQ-2T Preamp with Tuner - The onboard preamp and undersaddle pickup offer a natural amplified tone with handy bass and treble controls, while the built-in tuner keeps you in tune at all times without the need for external tuners or apps.
- Cutaway Classical Body with Open Pore Finish - The cutaway design improves upper-fret access for more expressive playing, and the open pore amber finish enhances resonance and gives the guitar a comfortable, organic feel that encourages longer playing sessions.
