Product Description
The Ibanez GA2-OAM is a compact 3/4-size classical guitar designed to make learning comfortable, musical and inspiring. With its shorter scale length, slim body and lightweight feel, it is ideal for younger players, smaller hands or anyone who wants an easy-playing nylon string guitar that still delivers a clear, balanced tone. A spruce top, meranti back and sides and an Open Pore Amber finish combine to create a responsive instrument that encourages confident practice and performance.
Whether you are starting classical lessons, exploring fingerstyle for the first time or simply need a portable nylon string guitar, the GA2-OAM keeps things simple and reliable. Smooth-playing Nandu Wood, stable chrome tuners and a student-friendly body size all work together to help you focus on your playing, not fighting the instrument.
Comfortable 3/4-Size Classical Body
The 3/4-size body and 580 mm scale length make the GA2-OAM far easier to handle than a full-size classical guitar, especially for children, teenagers and smaller adults. The reduced dimensions help players reach chords more easily, develop proper technique and play for longer without fatigue, making it a great choice for lessons and home practice.
Clear, Responsive Spruce Top
A spruce top gives this guitar a bright, articulate voice with clean note separation, ideal for learning melodies, arpeggios and classical repertoire. Spruce responds well to a light touch, so even developing players can produce a clear, projecting sound that rewards good technique and encourages musical expression.
Warm, Balanced Meranti Back and Sides
Meranti back and sides provide a warm, even tonal foundation that complements the brightness of the spruce top. The result is a balanced sound that is neither too boomy nor too thin, helping beginners hear their playing clearly across the full range of the instrument.
Open Pore Amber Finish for Natural Feel
The Open Pore Amber finish keeps the wood feeling natural and lightweight, allowing the body to resonate freely. This contributes to a lively, responsive tone while also giving the guitar a comfortable, organic feel that is inviting to pick up and play.
Features
- 3/4-Size Body for Smaller Players - The compact body and shorter 580 mm scale are ideal for children, students and anyone with smaller hands, making stretches and chord shapes more manageable and helping to build confidence from day one.
- Spruce Top with Bright, Clear Tone - The spruce soundboard delivers crisp articulation and good projection, so every note and chord rings out clearly, supporting accurate listening and faster progress in lessons.
- Nandu Wood Fretboard and Bridge - A smooth Nandu Wood fretboard and matching bridge offer a comfortable playing surface and a naturally warm response, making fretting easier and more enjoyable for developing fingers.
- Lightweight Design with Stable Chrome Tuners - The lightweight construction reduces strain during practice sessions, while chrome classical tuners provide dependable tuning stability so you can focus on playing rather than constant adjustments.
