Product Description
The Ibanez EWP17M2E-SMO is a compact piccolo electro acoustic guitar that delivers bright, chiming tone in a uniquely portable package. With its eye-catching Strawberry Milk open pore finish, comfortable neck and built-in electronics, it is ideal for guitarists who want a fun, inspiring instrument for travel, practice, songwriting or adding fresh textures to their recordings.
Combining a smaller body with a familiar six-string layout, the EWP17M2E-SMO feels instantly approachable if you already play standard guitar. The shorter scale and compact maple body produce a lively, focused sound that cuts through a mix, while the Ibanez AEQ-2U preamp and undersaddle pickup let you plug straight into an amp or PA with ease. Lightweight and easy to handle, it is a great grab-and-go companion that still feels like a proper instrument under the fingers.
Compact Piccolo Body
The piccolo-sized body makes this guitar incredibly easy to hold and play, whether you are on the sofa, in the studio or on the move. Its reduced dimensions encourage longer, more relaxed practice sessions and make it a practical choice for younger players or anyone who finds full-sized acoustics a bit unwieldy.
Strawberry Milk Open Pore Finish
The distinctive Strawberry Milk open pore finish gives the EWP17M2E-SMO a playful, modern look that stands out from the crowd. The open pore polyurethane finish also allows the maple body to resonate more freely, helping the instrument feel lively and responsive while showcasing the natural grain of the wood.
Stage-ready Electronics
Equipped with an Ibanez undersaddle pickup and AEQ-2U preamp, this piccolo acoustic is ready to be heard in any setting. The active EQ lets you shape your sound to suit different rooms or mixes, while the onboard tuner keeps you in tune without needing extra gear, making it a convenient choice for rehearsals and live performance.
Comfortable, Guitar-friendly Feel
An okoume neck with a smooth profile and maple fingerboard gives the EWP17M2E-SMO a familiar feel for existing guitarists. The bone nut and purpleheart bridge contribute to clear note definition and stable tuning, so you can focus on playing rather than fighting the instrument.
Features
- Compact Piccolo Design - The smaller body and scale length make this guitar exceptionally portable and comfortable, ideal for travel, practice or casual playing where a full-sized acoustic might be impractical.
- Strawberry Milk Open Pore Finish - The unique pink Strawberry Milk colour with an open pore finish gives the instrument a distinctive visual character while allowing the wood to breathe and resonate naturally.
- Ibanez AEQ-2U Preamp with Tuner - The active AEQ-2U preamp provides clear amplified tone and simple tone shaping, while the built-in tuner helps you stay perfectly in tune at the touch of a button.
- Quality Tonewoods and Hardware - A maple body, okoume neck, maple dot inlays, purpleheart bridge and bone nut work together to deliver bright, articulate tone with reliable tuning stability and a smooth playing feel.
