Product Description
The Ibanez EWP17M1E-SFO is a compact tenor piccolo electro acoustic that blends ukulele-like portability with a familiar guitar feel. With its eye-catching Soda Float Open Pore finish, comfortable neck and built-in electronics, it is ideal for travel, casual playing, songwriting and adding a fresh, bright voice to your collection.
Designed to feel instantly approachable for guitarists, the EWP17M1E-SFO keeps standard six-string tuning and a conventional neck profile in a smaller, lightweight body. Plug in via the Ibanez AEQ-2U preamp and undersaddle pickup for a clear, natural amplified sound, or enjoy its lively acoustic tone on the sofa, in the studio or on the road.
Portable Tenor Piccolo Design
The tenor piccolo body offers a compact footprint that is easy to handle at home or on the move. Its smaller size makes it comfortable for younger players, guitarists who prefer a more manageable instrument, or anyone needing a space-saving acoustic for travel and practice.
Striking Soda Float Open Pore Finish
The vivid blue Soda Float finish, combined with an open pore polyurethane treatment, lets the natural texture of the maple body show through. This not only gives the guitar a distinctive look on stage or at home, but also allows the wood to resonate more freely for a lively, responsive acoustic tone.
Plug-in Ready with Onboard Tuner
Equipped with an Ibanez AEQ-2U preamp and undersaddle pickup, the EWP17M1E-SFO is ready for performance or recording. The active EQ helps you shape your sound to suit different rooms and mixes, while the built-in tuner lets you stay in tune without needing extra gear.
Comfortable Feel for Guitar Players
An okoume neck with a familiar six-string layout and maple dot inlays makes the transition from a full-size guitar feel natural. The compact scale encourages relaxed playing, making it a great choice for writing new ideas, experimenting with higher registers or simply enjoying a more effortless playing experience.
