Ibanez AZES40 Series Left Handed Electric Guitar in Purist Blue

The Ibanez AZES40L-PRB is a left-handed AZ Essentials electric guitar designed to make learning, practising and gigging feel effortless. With its comfortable neck, lightweight poplar body and versatile HSS pickup configuration paired with the dyna-MIX9 switching system, it delivers nine inspiring tones that cover everything from glassy cleans to punchy rock riffs. Finished in a striking Purist Blue, it is an ideal first proper guitar or a reliable step-up instrument for developing players.

Built around a smooth maple neck and a Jatoba fretboard, the AZES40L offers a balanced feel that encourages longer playing sessions without fatigue. Medium frets on a 250 mm radius fingerboard make chords, bends and fast runs feel natural under the fingers, helping beginners and intermediate players progress quickly. The lightweight body keeps things comfortable whether you are sat at home or standing on stage.

The HSS pickup layout combines two Essentials single coils with an Accord humbucker at the bridge, giving you classic, familiar sounds with enough output for modern styles. Thanks to the dyna-MIX9 switching system, you can access nine distinct pickup combinations, opening up a wide palette of tones without needing extra pedals or guitars. From bright rhythm sounds to thicker lead voices, the AZES40L adapts easily to whatever you want to play.

Practical details like the T106 tremolo bridge with Comfort Round Steel saddles and reliable chrome hardware keep tuning stable and playing feel consistent. For left-handed players who want a thoughtfully designed, great-value instrument that will grow with their skills, the Ibanez AZES40L-PRB is a smart, confidence-boosting choice.

Comfortable Left-Handed Design

As a dedicated left-handed model, the AZES40L-PRB puts ergonomics first, giving southpaw players a guitar that feels intuitive from the moment they pick it up. The lightweight poplar body and balanced neck profile help reduce strain, making it easier to focus on technique and musicality rather than fighting the instrument.

Versatile HSS Pickups with dyna-MIX9

The combination of Essentials single coils in the neck and middle positions with an Accord humbucker at the bridge provides a wide tonal spectrum. Paired with the dyna-MIX9 switching system, you get nine different pickup configurations, letting you move from sparkling cleans to chunky rock tones at the flick of a switch, ideal for players exploring multiple genres.

Smooth, Player-Friendly Neck

The maple neck and Jatoba fretboard are engineered for easy playability, with a 250 mm radius and 22 medium frets that feel comfortable for both chords and lead work. This helps newer players develop clean fretting and confident bends, while more experienced guitarists will appreciate the fast, consistent feel across the neck.

Stable T106 Tremolo with Comfort Saddles

The T106 tremolo bridge with Comfort Round Steel saddles offers smooth vibrato effects while maintaining a comfortable feel under the picking hand. This design helps improve tuning stability and sustain, so you can experiment with whammy bar techniques without sacrificing playability.
