Product Description
The Ibanez AW247CE-WKH is a modern electro acoustic dreadnought designed for players who want a warm, responsive acoustic tone with the convenience of reliable stage-ready electronics. With its solid Okoume top, comfortable wide nut and rugged Weathered Black finish, it is equally at home in the practice room, studio or on stage, offering a versatile voice that flatters fingerstyle, strumming and everything in between.
Part of the Artwood series, this model blends traditional acoustic design with thoughtful contemporary tweaks. A Nyatoh neck and Ovangkol fingerboard provide a smooth, familiar feel, while the Okoume body delivers a woody, mid-focused character that cuts through a mix without sounding harsh. Plugged in, the Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup and AEQ-TP2 preamp capture that natural acoustic sound with clarity, giving you simple, effective control over your tone.
Solid Okoume Top with Okoume Back and Sides
The AW247CE-WKH features a solid Okoume top paired with Okoume back and sides, creating a warm, full mid-range with a clear, articulate top end. The solid top responds dynamically to your playing, opening up over time as the wood ages, while the matching Okoume body adds a woody character and punchy high-mids that help your playing sit nicely in a band mix or recording.
Comfortable Nyatoh Neck and Wide 48mm Nut
A Nyatoh neck provides a rich mid-low tonal response and a stable, reassuring feel in the hand. The 48mm wide nut offers extra string spacing, giving a more classical-style feel that benefits fingerstyle players, those using complex chord voicings or anyone who prefers a little more room between the strings for clean, accurate fretting.
Ovangkol Fingerboard and Bridge
The Ovangkol fingerboard is designed for smooth playability, with a comfortable surface that feels natural under the fingers whether you are strumming chords or playing intricate lines. An Ovangkol bridge helps enhance natural tone transfer from the strings into the body, supporting sustain and resonance so your notes ring out clearly both acoustically and when amplified.
Stage-ready Electronics with Onboard Tuner
For live performance and recording, the Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup delivers accurate, balanced amplification of the guitar’s acoustic voice. Paired with the AEQ-TP2 preamp, you get a built-in tuner and simple 2-band EQ, allowing you to shape your sound quickly and keep your tuning in check without needing extra pedals or external tuners.
Features
- Solid Okoume Top - A solid Okoume top provides a warm, full mid-range with bright clarity, responding dynamically to your touch so both gentle fingerpicking and heavy strumming sound rich and expressive.
- 48mm Wide Nut - The wider 48mm nut spacing offers a more classical-style feel, giving your fretting hand extra room for clean chord shapes, intricate fingerstyle patterns and accurate note separation.
- Ibanez T-bar Pickup with AEQ-TP2 Preamp - The undersaddle T-bar pickup and AEQ-TP2 preamp work together to capture your natural acoustic tone with clarity, while the onboard tuner and 2-band EQ make it easy to stay in tune and tailor your sound on stage.
- Ovangkol Fingerboard and Bridge - Ovangkol for both the fingerboard and bridge enhances playing comfort and improves tonal transfer, helping your notes sustain and resonate clearly across the entire fretboard.
