Product Description
The Ibanez AW54-OPN Artwood dreadnought is a no-nonsense acoustic that blends traditional looks and feel with modern, reliable construction. With its solid Okoume top, Okoume back and sides and comfortable Nyatoh neck, it delivers a warm, woody voice that works just as well for delicate fingerpicking as it does for bold, open-chord strumming.
Whether you are buying your first serious acoustic or adding a dependable workhorse to your collection, the AW54-OPN offers impressive tone and playability at a very accessible price. The open pore natural finish lets the wood breathe and resonate freely, while practical touches like Ibanez Advantage bridge pins and stable die-cast tuners keep the guitar performing consistently gig after gig or practice after practice.
Solid Okoume Top for Responsive Tone
At the heart of the AW54-OPN is its solid Okoume top, a key ingredient in its lively, dynamic sound. A solid top responds more sensitively to your playing, opening up over time and rewarding you with greater richness and projection the more you play. From gentle fingerstyle passages to full-bodied strums, the guitar reacts with a clear, musical voice that encourages you to keep exploring.
Warm, Woody Okoume Back and Sides
Okoume back and sides reinforce the guitar's warm, organic character. Played softly or finger-picked, the AW54-OPN produces a rounded, woody tone that sits beautifully under vocals. When you dig in with a pick, the Okoume adds punchy high-mids and clear projection, helping your rhythm parts cut through without sounding harsh or brittle.
Comfortable Nyatoh Neck and Laurel Fretboard
The Nyatoh neck offers a rich mid-low tonal contribution while feeling reassuringly solid in the hand. Paired with a laurel fretboard, it provides a smooth, familiar playing surface that is easy to navigate for chords and single-note lines alike. The comfortable profile and 400 mm radius make extended practice sessions or long sets more enjoyable, with 20 frets giving you plenty of range for melody work and solos.
Practical Hardware for Everyday Reliability
Chrome die-cast tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio provide precise, stable tuning, so you spend more time playing and less time adjusting. The laurel bridge efficiently transfers string vibration to the body for a natural, warm acoustic tone, while Ibanez Advantage bridge pins make string changes quicker and more secure. These thoughtful details ensure the AW54-OPN is ready whenever inspiration strikes.
