Product Description
The Ibanez AAM50CE-SBO is a modern, gig-ready electro acoustic that blends a comfortable Advanced Auditorium body with stage-friendly electronics and a striking Sapphire Blue Burst Open Pore finish. Designed to feel instantly familiar in your hands, it delivers a clear, balanced acoustic voice that translates beautifully when plugged in, making it an ideal choice for singer-songwriters, worship players and anyone wanting a reliable all-rounder for home, studio and live use.
With a solid Sitka Spruce top, Sapele back and sides and a low oval Okoume neck, the AAM50CE-SBO offers a responsive, articulate tone and an easy-playing feel that encourages longer practice sessions and confident performance. Add in the Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup, AEQ-TP2 preamp with tuner, and the clever A.I.R.port and Advanced Access Cutaway, and you have a thoughtfully engineered instrument that supports you every step of the way on your playing journey.
Comfortable Advanced Auditorium Body
The Advanced Auditorium body shape strikes a sweet spot between comfort and projection. It is compact enough to sit nicely against the body for long sessions, yet still offers enough air volume for a full, dynamic acoustic sound. Whether you are strumming open chords or playing more intricate fingerstyle parts, the body responds evenly across the frequency range and feels natural both seated and standing.
Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Sapele Back and Sides
A solid Sitka Spruce top gives the AAM50CE-SBO its shimmering highs, tight midrange and strong low-end foundation, helping every note ring with clarity and definition. Paired with Sapele back and sides, you get a warm, focused midrange presence and bright, articulate projection that works well in a band mix or solo setting. The more you play it, the more the solid top will open up and reward you with greater richness and complexity.
Player-Friendly Neck and Hardware
The low oval grip Okoume neck is designed for comfort, making chord shapes and position shifts feel smooth and effortless. A Purpleheart fretboard and matching Purpleheart bridge enhance resonance and tone transfer, while also adding a touch of visual flair. Ibanez Advantage bridge pins are shaped for easier handling and improved string hold, making string changes more straightforward and secure.
Stage-Ready Electronics and Smart Design
The Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup captures the natural acoustic character of the guitar with accuracy, ready to plug straight into PA systems, acoustic amps or interfaces. The AEQ-TP2 preamp offers simple Bass and Treble controls, along with an onboard tuner so you can dial in your sound and stay in tune without extra gear. The A.I.R.port enhances your personal monitoring by directing more of the guitar’s acoustic presence towards you, while the Advanced Access Cutaway gives you improved reach to the upper frets for solos, melodic lines and higher chord voicings.
Features
- Advanced Auditorium Cutaway Body - The Advanced Auditorium shape offers a comfortable, mid-sized body that is easy to hold for extended periods while still providing strong projection and balance. The cutaway design lets you access higher frets with less effort, opening up more melodic and lead-playing possibilities.
- Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Sapele Back and Sides - A solid Sitka Spruce top delivers bright, responsive tone with excellent clarity, while Sapele back and sides add warmth and a focused midrange. This combination gives you a versatile sound that works for strumming, fingerpicking and everything in between.
- Ibanez T-bar Pickup and AEQ-TP2 Preamp - The undersaddle T-bar pickup accurately translates your acoustic tone into any amplification system, and the AEQ-TP2 preamp provides intuitive Bass and Treble controls plus a built-in tuner. You can quickly shape your sound on stage and stay in tune without needing extra pedals.
- A.I.R.port and Player-Focused Appointments - The A.I.R.port improves your own listening experience by directing more of the guitar’s sound towards you, helping you play with greater confidence. The low oval Okoume neck, Purpleheart fretboard and bridge, and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins all work together to enhance comfort, resonance and everyday usability.
