Product Description
The Ibanez 540PIIIHH-BK Genesis Collection revives one of Ibanez’s most distinctive late-80s shred machines, pairing that iconic point-style body with modern Japanese build quality. With a razor-thin Super Wizard neck, dual high-output humbuckers and the legendary Edge tremolo, this is a purpose-built performance guitar for fast, precise playing and expressive whammy work in a sleek Black finish.
Made in Japan as part of the Genesis line, the 540PIIIHH-BK captures the feel and attitude of a cult Ibanez classic while benefitting from contemporary manufacturing consistency. The 5-piece Maple/Wenge neck is engineered for stability under low action and heavy string bending, while the basswood body keeps things light and responsive. Plug in, and the V8 bridge humbucker and Infinity R neck humbucker deliver a focused, passive rock and metal voice that still cleans up when you roll back the volume.
Whether you are chasing 80s shred tones, modern prog precision or simply want a fast, comfortable instrument that looks like nothing else on stage, the 540PIIIHH-BK is built to keep up. The Edge double-locking tremolo and locking nut give you the freedom to divebomb, flutter and squeal without sacrificing tuning stability, while the sharktooth inlays and sharp body contours complete the unmistakable Ibanez aesthetic.
Super Wizard Neck for Maximum Speed
The 5-piece Maple/Wenge Super Wizard neck is ultra-thin and flat, designed to let your fretting hand move with minimal resistance. This profile is ideal for rapid alternate picking, wide stretches and complex legato lines, helping you execute demanding techniques cleanly and consistently across the fretboard.
High-Output HH Pickup Configuration
With a V8 humbucker in the bridge and an Infinity R humbucker in the neck, the 540PIIIHH-BK offers a tight, aggressive voice that excels at high-gain rhythm and searing lead tones. The passive design keeps your dynamics intact, so you can move from saturated riffs to articulate cleans simply by adjusting your picking attack and guitar controls.
Edge Double-Locking Tremolo
The Edge bridge is a cornerstone of Ibanez’s shred heritage, offering smooth feel and rock-solid tuning. Combined with the locking nut, it lets you use extreme vibrato techniques and pitch shifts with confidence, making it easy to add drama and expression to solos and riffs without constantly re-tuning.
Classic Genesis Styling
The point-style basswood body, gloss Black finish and white sharktooth inlays give this guitar a bold, unmistakable look on stage. The comfortable contours and balanced weight distribution ensure that the striking design is matched by practical ergonomics for both seated practice and long gigs.
