Product Description
The Hohner Blues Harp G Major Harmonica is a classic 10-hole diatonic designed to deliver that raw, expressive blues tone players have relied on for over half a century. Tuned to G major, it is ideal for deep, soulful bends, gritty riffs and authentic Chicago-style sounds, whether you are just starting out or already gigging regularly.
Part of Hohner's MS (Modular System) range, the Blues Harp lets you easily swap combs, reed plates and covers with other MS models, so you can fine-tune the feel and response to match your playing style. A durable doussie wood comb, responsive brass reeds and stainless steel covers come together to create a harmonica that feels solid in the hand, projects clearly and invites expressive playing session after session.
From smoky blues licks and rock hooks to rootsy folk melodies, the Blues Harp in G major gives you a warm, punchy voice that cuts through the mix without sounding harsh. Its compact 10.5 cm length makes it easy to carry, so you can always have that classic blues sound ready whenever inspiration strikes.
Iconic Blues Tone
The Blues Harp has been a staple of blues and rock for decades, and this G major model captures that unmistakable sound. The combination of brass reeds and a wooden comb delivers a warm, slightly gritty character that responds beautifully to bends, vibrato and dynamic playing, making it perfect for authentic blues phrasing.
MS Modular Construction
Thanks to Hohner's MS modular system, the comb, reed plates and cover plates are all interchangeable with other MS series harmonicas. This means you can customise your instrument over time, experimenting with different component combinations to refine the feel, tone and response to suit your personal style.
Durable Doussie Wood Comb
The double lacquered doussie wood comb offers a comfortable, natural feel at the lips while adding warmth and richness to the overall tone. The lacquered finish helps protect the wood from moisture and wear, supporting long-term stability and consistent performance.
Responsive Brass Reeds
Fitted with 0.9 mm brass reed plates and 20 brass reeds, the Blues Harp responds quickly even at low breath pressure. This makes it easier to control bends, dynamics and articulation, helping both beginners and experienced players achieve expressive, nuanced performances.
