Product Description
The Guild Westerly OM-240E Natural is a comfortable, mid-sized acoustic-electric that blends classic Guild tone with modern practicality. With its solid Sitka spruce top, arched mahogany back and discreet Guild/Fishman GT-1 pickup system, it is built to deliver a lively, balanced sound whether you are writing at home, recording, or stepping onto the stage.
Drawing inspiration from Guilds revered Westerly-era instruments, the OM-240E pairs traditional materials with player-friendly details. The satin finish keeps the guitar feeling smooth and fast, while the C-shape mahogany neck and bound pau ferro fingerboard make chords and fingerstyle passages feel effortless. Plugged in, the onboard GT-1 system captures the guitars natural acoustic character with simple, intuitive controls.
The OM orchestra body shape strikes a sweet spot between comfort and projection. It is compact enough for smaller players or long sessions, yet still offers enough volume and dynamic range for ensemble work. The combination of scalloped X bracing and an arched mahogany back helps the guitar respond quickly under the fingers, with a clear top end, warm mids and a focused low end that never gets boomy.
With quality touches like a bone nut and compensated bone saddle, mother-of-pearl rosette and vintage-style open-gear tuners, the OM-240E feels and sounds far above its price point. It is an ideal choice for the player who wants a reliable, great-sounding acoustic-electric that can handle everything from intimate gigs to everyday practice.
Comfortable OM Body with Arched Mahogany Back
The OM orchestra body offers a comfortable, mid-sized feel that suits a wide range of players and styles. The arched mahogany back adds extra projection and focus, helping the guitar cut through a mix while keeping the low end tight and controlled.
Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Scalloped X Bracing
A solid Sitka spruce top provides the clarity, headroom and dynamic response that serious players look for. Paired with scalloped X bracing, it delivers a lively, resonant voice that opens up over time and responds beautifully to both light fingerpicking and more aggressive strumming.
Guild / Fishman GT-1 Pickup System
The discreet Guild/Fishman GT-1 pickup system lets you plug straight into an amp or PA with confidence. With simple volume and tone controls, you can quickly dial in a natural, musical sound on stage or in the studio without complicated menus or external gear.
Player Friendly Neck and Quality Hardware
The C-shape mahogany neck, 25.5 inch scale and 16 inch fingerboard radius create a familiar, easy playing feel for both chords and single-note lines. Quality components like a bone nut, compensated bone saddle and Guild Vintage 16 open-gear tuners support stable tuning and consistent intonation across the neck.
