If you have placed your order online, you will receive a confirmation email of your order and a separate follow-up text or email to confirm when your item is ready for collection.
Please do not come to the store before you have received the follow-up message, as your order may not yet be ready at the store.
If the only available stock is in our off-site warehouse it can be brought to the store location for you to try - you just need to contact the store within opening hours. Please note any requests received after 3.30pm will not arrive at the store until the following morning.

The Guild USA D-40E Standard in Pacific Sunset Burst is a classic dreadnought electro acoustic that blends rich, vintage-inspired tone with stage-ready electronics. Built in the USA and finished in a stunning ultra-thin Vintage Gloss nitro lacquer, it delivers powerful projection, a warm yet articulate voice, and a beautifully broken-in feel straight out of the case.
With a solid Sitka spruce top, solid African mahogany back and sides, and a comfortable mahogany C-shape neck, the D-40E is designed to inspire confident strumming, dynamic flatpicking and expressive fingerstyle playing. Add the factory-fitted L.R. Baggs Element VTC system and you have a guitar that sounds just as natural and detailed when plugged in as it does acoustically.
Classic Dreadnought Power and Projection
The D-40E’s D-size dreadnought body delivers the bold, room-filling sound this shape is famous for. Forward-shifted scalloped X bracing in Adirondack spruce helps the top move more freely, enhancing bass depth, midrange punch and sparkling highs while increasing overall responsiveness. Whether you are leading a band, backing a singer or playing solo, the D-40E has the volume and clarity to cut through without losing warmth.
Premium Solid Tonewoods
A solid Sitka spruce top provides brightness, clarity and dynamic headroom, responding beautifully to both light fingerpicking and heavy strumming. Solid African mahogany back and sides add warmth, focus and an earthy richness that keeps the sound balanced and musical. The mahogany neck with Indian rosewood fingerboard and Indian rosewood bridge completes a classic tonewood recipe that will only open up and improve with years of playing.
