Guild Polara Deluxe Electric Guitar in Kingswood Green

The Guild Polara Deluxe in Kingswood Green takes the sleek, offset-inspired Polara shape and dresses it up with premium appointments, vintage-flavoured tone and a striking metallic finish. With hot-wound HB-2+ humbuckers, a super-comfortable set neck and classy bound fingerboard with block inlays, it is a rock-ready workhorse that looks as good as it sounds.

Drawing on classic 1970s Guild design cues, the Polara Deluxe pairs a solid mahogany body with a short 24 3/4 inch scale for a warm, punchy response and an immediately familiar feel. Modern touches like coil-splitting, a compensated stopbar tailpiece and a sleek gloss polyurethane finish make it a versatile, stage-ready instrument that will happily cover everything from classic rock and indie to alternative and heavier styles.

Deluxe Take on a Classic Polara Design

The Polara Deluxe builds on the stripped-back base model with a more upmarket aesthetic and feel. The bound Indian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays instantly evokes vintage Guild solidbodies, while the headstock gains the iconic Peak and Chesterfield inlays for a touch of old-school class. Combined with the distinctive Polara body shape, you get a guitar that stands out visually without sacrificing comfort or balance.

HB-2+ Humbuckers with Coil Split Versatility

Guild HB-2+ humbuckers are modern descendants of the legendary oversized HB-1 pickups, reimagined in a standard humbucker size with Alnico V magnets. Hot-wound for extra output and sustain, they deliver thick, articulate rock tones with plenty of character. With individual volume and tone controls plus push/pull coil splitting, you can flip from full, roaring humbucker sounds to brighter, single-coil style voices at the pull of a knob, making the Polara Deluxe a flexible choice for players who cover a lot of ground.

Comfortable Mahogany Set Neck

A mahogany set neck with a vintage soft U profile and 12.5 inch radius offers a smooth, inviting feel under the hand. The 24 3/4 inch scale length is friendly for bends and vibrato, while narrow jumbo frets provide a great balance of precision and ease of play. Ivory-style binding along the fingerboard not only looks classy but also gives a subtly smoother edge as you move up and down the neck.

Kingswood Green Metallic Finish and Quality Hardware

Finished in Kingswood Green, this Polara Deluxe has a bold, modern metallic look that pairs perfectly with the nickel hardware and black pickguard with gold Guild logo. A Tune-O-Matic bridge and Guild compensated stopbar tailpiece offer solid tuning stability and reliable intonation, while the vintage-style open-gear tuners add a touch of retro charm. It is a guitar that feels reassuringly robust and ready for regular gigging.
