Gretsch Renown Maple 20" Acoustic Drum Kit in Turquoise Sparkle

The Gretsch Renown Maple 20" Acoustic Drum Kit in Turquoise Sparkle delivers that unmistakable Gretsch sound in a compact, gig ready shell pack. With classic 7 ply maple shells, 30 degree bearing edges and the legendary Silver Sealer interiors, this kit offers a wide tuning range, rich musical tone and the projection to handle everything from smooth vintage grooves to modern rock and pop.

Marrying heritage design with contemporary, player friendly features, this Renown configuration is built for drummers who need one kit to cover it all. The addition of Gretsch 302 hoops gives you a focused, articulate sound while still allowing the shells to resonate freely, making this an incredibly versatile choice for studio sessions, live work and regular rehearsals alike.

Classic Gretsch Tone Across the Decades

Renown is designed to let you authentically cover the sounds of multiple eras. The maple shells and 30 degree bearing edges provide the warmth and sensitivity needed for subtle 1950s style playing, the punch and projection to drive 60s and 70s inspired grooves, and the clarity and definition demanded by clean, modern studio production. If you need a single kit that can adapt to changing styles and band line ups, this is a powerful all round solution.

7 Ply Maple Shells with Silver Sealer

The classic Gretsch 7 ply maple shell recipe delivers a balanced blend of low end warmth, midrange presence and crisp attack. Inside, the Silver Sealer finish helps protect the wood and contributes to that recognisable Gretsch character, giving each drum a controlled, musical response. The result is a kit that tunes up quickly, holds its tuning well and sounds full and alive at any dynamic level.

Gretsch 302 Hoops for Focus and Resonance

This Renown kit features Gretsch 302 steel hoops, the same design used on the Brooklyn and Broadkaster series. These hoops offer the focused, controlled sound associated with die cast designs, but with a lighter, less rigid construction that allows the shells to breathe and resonate. You get clear, defined stick response and easier tuning, without choking the natural tone of the drums.

Practical, Player Focused Hardware

A low profile tom mounting system keeps the rack toms stable while allowing the shells to vibrate freely, helping preserve tone and sustain. The bass drum is fitted with round Gretsch tom brackets for secure positioning of the included double tom holder. Chrome hardware throughout adds durability and a smart, professional look, while Remo heads mean the kit is ready to play straight out of the box.

• 7 Ply Maple Shells - Classic Gretsch maple construction delivers a warm, punchy and versatile tone that works across genres. The shells respond beautifully to both light touches and heavy hitting, making this kit suitable for everything from jazz influenced playing to rock and pop.
• 30 Degree Bearing Edges with Silver Sealer - Traditional Gretsch 30 degree bearing edges enhance warmth and sustain, while the Silver Sealer interior finish supports consistent tone and projection. This combination helps the drums tune easily and produce a rich, musical sound at any pitch.
• Gretsch 302 Steel Hoops - Player friendly 302 hoops provide a focused, controlled sound similar to die cast hoops, but with reduced weight for improved resonance. You benefit from articulate rimshots and clear stick definition without sacrificing openness and sustain.
• Compact, Versatile 20" Shell Pack - The 20" x 16" bass drum, 10" x 7" and 12" x 8" rack toms, and 14" x 14" floor tom offer a compact footprint with full, musical tone. This configuration is ideal for gigging drummers who need easy transport and quick set up, yet still want a kit that can handle a wide range of musical situations.
