Gibson’s Victory model made a winning return in 2024, but there was one request that kept popping up: “can we get it with a locking trem?” Well, here it is. The Gibson Victory Floyd Rose takes everything people loved about the revived Victory guitar and adds some whammy-powered edge, without losing the vibe that made the originals so cool.

Classic design, modern playability

At its core, this is still very much a Victory — just with a bit more attitude. You’ve got a Mahogany double-cut body topped with stunning AA figured Maple, paired to a SlimTaper Mahogany neck that’s built for speed and precision. The 25.5" scale gives you a tighter, more modern feel (great for drop tunings too), while the compound-radius Ebony fingerboard with 24 medium jumbo frets lets you play smooth chords, big bends and fast licks up high with a nice, low action.

A dive-bomber’s dream

Of course, the headline feature here is the recessed Floyd Rose system. In conjunction with the locking nut and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, it’ll hold tune even when you’re going full Van Halen mid-set. The Explorer-style headstock keeps things looking sharp, while chrome hardware and black plastics give it that stealthy, rock-ready aesthetic.

Plug it in, and you’ll find this thing is far more versatile than its aggressive looks might suggest. The two uncovered Gibson 80s Tribute humbuckers are wired to push/pull controls for coil splitting, letting you jump between full-fat humbucker punch and snappier single-coil tones with ease. Add in the 3-way selector, and you’ve got a seriously flexible tonal palette at your fingertips.
