The Gavilan Miramonte is a supreme hand-crafted guitar designed and built by Fender’s youngest ever Custom Shop luthier, Levi Perry, who left the industry giants with two decades worth of experience and some of the most sought-after instruments under his belt to establish his own premium guitar brand. He’s made custom guitars for Matty Healy (The 1975), Taylor York (Paramore), singer songwriter Mk.gee, blues legend Buddy Guy and plenty more.

Boutique standards

Made using the highest quality lumber and hardware in New Mexico, USA, the Miramonte brings top-in-class sound from the renowned Lollar pickups along with a familiarly modern playing experience to make you feel right at home. You get all the benefits of a contemporary guitar from the rosewood 12-inch radius fretboard and maple medium “C” neck combo with the style and timeless tone of a classic relic guitar. As is the standard for boutique guitars, the Jescar medium jumbo fretwire feels fantastic under the fingers and will hold up for decades of playing to come. 

Vintage sonic characteristics

The Lollar J90 in the bridge position delivers a super tight and snappy tone with a sparkly top-end, all the while retaining the midrange output from Lollar’s standard P90. In the neck position you’ve got a slight midrange scoop, softer attack and fuller sound from the ’63 Jazzmaster single-coil than what you’d find from the Original ’58 Lollar pickup. The Alnico 2 magnets and flat pole pieces churn out real vintage sonic characteristics.

Ultra smooth Descendant vibrato

The Descendant is an outstanding vibrato system made of stainless steel that sits flush to the body, designed specifically for offset guitars. They require less force to depress the arm than a standard vibrato and feel super smooth for the vintage warbly effect.

Contemporary meets classic style

With a hand-built guitar of this quality, there are meticulous motifs you’ll find throughout the guitar, like the hooked headstock and angular body, to the angular large pickguard. There’s a generous cutaway to the rear of the body for the comfort of playing the way that suits you.

Included is a matching colour premium hardcase with leather handles, a certificate of authenticity, handwritten specs sheet and a host of amazing accessories: a leather guitar strap, branded plectrums, and a Gavilan branded cleaning cloth.
