Fryette Two/Ninety/Two 90W Stereo Power Amp with KT88 Valves

The Fryette Two/Ninety/Two has long been regarded as the benchmark for valve power amp performance. Despite its manageable size, it happily goes toe-to-toe with power amps claiming far bigger wattage figures, delivering feel, punch and authority that belie the numbers!

Proven circuitry, serious muscle

Built around the same legendary circuit as the iconic Twenty One Fifty power amp — a favourite of players like Mick Mars (Mötley Crüe) and Dean DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots) — the Two/Ninety/Two cranks out 90+ watts per channel. With four premium, matched KT88 power valves under the hood, this thing has power in spades with the control and headroom that pros demand.

The best of both worlds, sonically

Tonally, the Two/Ninety/Two is a bit of a unicorn. You get the rich, complex upper harmonics you’d expect from a great EL34-style amp, combined with the tight lows and punchy low-mids more commonly associated with 6L6 designs. Flick it into Low Power Mode and you’ll still get a very healthy 60 watts per channel into 4, 8 or 16 ohms, perfect for driving your speakers hard while letting the power section really sing. Bonus points for the ultra-quiet fan operation, which makes this an absolute dream in the studio.

• Voicing switches: Tailor each channel’s frequency response to suit a traditional guitar cab or an FRFR setup. It’s perfect for modern hybrid rigs and model‑based preamps.
• Mono linked stereo inputs: Run a single mono signal and feed both power amp channels with ease, ideal for simple setups or dual‑cab stereo spread.
• Dual power mode: Choose between 90 watts or a reduced 60 watts per channel. Low Power Mode lets you drive the valves harder for richer saturation and feel, while keeping volume and fan noise in check — ideal for studios or smaller stages.
• Independent input tube stages: Dedicated valve input stages for each channel deliver maximum channel separation, clarity and true stereo performance.
• Presence and Depth controls: Dial in the top‑end sparkle and low‑end thump independently, letting you fine‑tune feel and punch for any cab or room.
• Fan cooled: Smart, temperature‑controlled cooling keeps the amp running smoothly and quietly even when pushed hard.
