Product Description
If you reckon a bog-standard Tele looks a little long in the tooth, the Fender Made in Japan Active Modern Telecaster should hit the right note. The iconic silhouette is still front and centre, but under the hood it’s been seriously souped-up for the modern player. You get a sculpted 5-bolt neck heel for effortless upper fret access, rock-solid locking tuners, a clever new noiseless system to keep hum at bay, plus a built-in gain boost!
A neck for next-gen players
One of the real highlights of the Fender Japan Active Modern Telecaster is its ultra-playable neck. Crafted from Maple with a silky-smooth satin urethane finish, the Modern “C” profile feels just right whether you’re strumming chords or ripping into lead lines. Medium jumbo frets offer precise control for wide vibrato, while the compound radius fingerboard keeps things comfy down low and flattens out as you move up the neck — perfect for choke-free bends.
Hum-free performance, built-in boost
The electronics are where this Tele really sets itself apart. A brand-new noiseless system uses an additional coil hidden under the pickguard, which eliminates hum without compromising your tone. It’s paired with Premium Vintage-Style pickups, so you still get all that classic Tele twang and mojo. But if you want to beef things up a bit, a push/push volume control kicks in a turbocharged gain boost that’s superb for making your solos leap out of the mix.
Fender Japan craftsmanship
Made in Japan, this model proudly continues Fender’s reputation for excellent build quality. Details like the 6-saddle bridge with chrome-plated brass saddles and deluxe locking tuners deliver spot-on intonation and great tuning stability. And it’s supplied with a gig bag too, so this guitar’s ready to head straight to rehearsal or the stage.
Features
- Alder body with sculpted neck heel: Delivers that classic Fender balance and resonance, while the sculpted 5-bolt heel makes reaching those top frets a doddle.
- Modern “C” Maple neck: It’s a Fender fan-fave for a reason! Supportive for rhythm work, yet slim and smooth for fluid leads.
- Medium jumbo frets: Perfect for big bends and clean fretting right across the neck — ideal if you like to play with a bit of expression and finesse.
- Premium Vintage-Style late ‘60s single-coils: Serve up all the classic Tele twang and sparkle you’d expect, with plenty of clarity and character.
- Noiseless system: A clever additional coil hidden under the pickguard cancels hum without touching your tone. Now that’s a win-win!
- Turbo Tone gain boost: Need a little extra bite? Hit the push/push volume knob and kick in a dash of extra gain to help your leads cut through.
- Deluxe locking tuners: Make restringing quick and painless, while keeping your tuning locked in through long sessions and enthusiastic playing.
- Included gig bag: Keeps your guitar safe on the move, so you can head to rehearsals or gigs without any hassle.
