Fender Made in Japan Active Modern Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Black

If your everyday Strat just isn’t quite cutting it, the Fender Made in Japan Active Modern Stratocaster is here to bring the firepower. You still get that legendary Strat silhouette front and centre, but this limited-edition model is loaded with contemporary upgrades. We’re talking a sculpted 5-bolt neck heel for easy upper-fret access, dependable locking tuners, a clever noiseless system to keep unwanted hum at bay, plus a built-in gain boost for when you need that extra push.

A neck built for next-gen players

A real standout on the Fender Japan Active Modern Stratocaster is its super-slick neck. Made from Maple with a smooth satin urethane finish on the back, the Modern “C” profile feels comfy enough for big open chords but fast enough when it’s time to move up a gear. Medium jumbo frets give you plenty of control for expressive vibrato and bends, while the compound radius fingerboard feels easy-going down low and flattens out up top for smooth, choke-free lead playing.

Hum-free tones with built-in boost

The electronics are where this Strat really shows its modern edge. Fender’s new noiseless system uses an extra coil hidden beneath the pickguard to help cancel out hum, so you can enjoy cleaner performance without losing that classic single-coil character. The Premium Vintage-Style pickups still deliver plenty of Strat sparkle, snap and spank, but when you want to thicken things up, just hit the push/push volume control to engage the Turbo Tone gain boost and give solos an extra lift.

Premium Fender Japan craftsmanship

Built in Japan, this Active Modern Stratocaster keeps up Fender Japan’s brilliant reputation for quality, consistency and attention to detail. A 2-point deluxe synchronised tremolo with pop-in arm gives you smooth pitch control, while deluxe locking tuners help keep tuning nice and stable. It also comes supplied with a deluxe gig bag, so you’re ready to take it from the shop floor to rehearsal, the studio or the stage.

• Alder body with sculpted neck heel: Delivers that classic Fender balance and resonance, while the sculpted 5-bolt heel makes reaching those top frets a doddle.
• Modern “C” Maple neck: It’s a Fender fan-fave for a reason! Supportive for rhythm work, yet slim and smooth for fluid leads.
• Medium jumbo frets: Perfect for big bends and clean fretting right across the neck — ideal if you like to play with a bit of expression and finesse.
• Premium Vintage-Style late ‘60s single-coils: Serve up all the classic Strat spank and sparkle you’d expect, with plenty of clarity and character.
• Noiseless system: A clever additional coil hidden under the pickguard cancels hum without touching your tone. Now that’s a win-win!
• Turbo Tone gain boost: Need a little extra bite? Hit the push/push volume knob and kick in a dash of extra gain to help your leads cut through.
• Deluxe locking tuners: Make restringing quick and painless, while keeping your tuning locked in through long sessions and enthusiastic playing.
• Included gig bag: Keeps your guitar safe on the move, so you can head to rehearsals or gigs without any hassle.
