Blending the classic looks and aesthetics of Fender’s famed blackguard '50s Teles, this Start is perhaps the ultimate tribute to the '50s and Fender's golden era.

Underneath the hood, this Strat comes equipped with a trio of Custom Shop Fat ' 50s pickups for authentic pre-CBS Strat tones turned up to 11. Its S-1 switch adds an extra layer of versatility, allowing you to switch between the classic 5-way Stratocaster switching and a fatter humbucker-like series wiring. Its soft V-neck profile with modern 9.5” fingerboard radius feels comfortable up and down the fingerboard and is perfect for both chords and lead up and down the fingerboard.

Fat ‘50s

Designed and wound at the Custom Shop, the Fat ‘50s Strat pickups perfectly capture the esteemed articulation and bell-like quality of a classic ‘50s Stratocaster with a few updated tweaks. Made using period-correct fibre bobbins, cloth wire, hand-bevelled staggered Alnico V magnets, and Formvar magnet wire, these pickups provide authentic vintage Strat tones with a musical midrange and dynamics. They have been overwound for extra bite and more power in the low-end and the middle pickup is RWRP for no noise in positions 2 and 4.
