Fender Coastline '65 Jazzmaster Pickups Set of 2

The Fender Coastline 65 Jazzmaster Pickup Set takes the spirit of Fender’s Pure Vintage designs and adds a touch of extra muscle. Using period-correct construction, alnico 5 magnets and cloth wiring, these pickups deliver the classic Jazzmaster snap and texture, but with a slightly overwound voice that brings more warmth, focus and punch to your sound.

Whether you are chasing surf-inspired cleans, gritty indie rhythms or atmospheric shoegaze textures, this matched neck and bridge set gives you the familiar Jazzmaster character with added tonal depth and harmonic richness. They drop into any compatible Jazzmaster and offer a refined, gig-ready upgrade that stays true to the original formula while giving you a bit more presence in the mix.

Vintage DNA with Modern Refinement

Based closely on Fender’s Pure Vintage blueprints, Coastline 65 Jazzmaster pickups use fibre bobbins, flush-mount polepieces and cloth-covered wiring to recreate the look and feel of mid-sixties units. The key difference is a subtle overwind that adds output and fullness, so you keep the airy top end and signature snarl, but gain extra authority and definition across the fretboard.

Alnico 5 Punch and Dynamics

Alnico 5 magnets are at the heart of the Coastline 65 set, providing a focused, articulate response with enhanced dynamics. Clean tones stay clear and chimey, while driven sounds have a tight low end and strong attack that cuts through without becoming harsh. It is an ideal balance for players who want vintage flavour with enough power for modern rigs and pedals.

Balanced String Response

Flush-mount polepieces give you smooth string-to-string balance, helping chords sound cohesive and single notes sit naturally in the mix. Combined with the moderate output and carefully voiced windings, these pickups feel controlled and musical under the fingers, whether you are playing delicate arpeggios or more aggressive rhythm work.

Stage-ready Construction

Enamel-coated magnet wire, fibre bobbins and period-correct cloth leads deliver authentic looks and reliable performance. The pickups are wax potted to help resist microphonic feedback and protect the internal wiring, making them a solid choice for loud stages and high-gain pedalboards. Installation hardware is included so you can get up and running with minimal fuss.

• Slightly Overwound Jazzmaster Voice - The Coastline 65 pickups are wound a touch hotter than traditional mid-sixties units, adding warmth, focus and punch while preserving the classic Jazzmaster snarl and texture. This gives you more presence in the band mix without losing the airy, open character that defines the model.
• Alnico 5 Magnets with Enamel-coated Wire - Alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire combine for a dynamic, responsive feel with a warm midrange and clear highs. You get articulate cleans and harmonically rich overdrive that respond well to your picking nuances and volume control.
• Vintage-style Construction and Aesthetics - Fibre bobbins, flush-mount polepieces and cloth-covered leads deliver an authentic sixties look and period-correct build. The vintage white covers complement traditional Jazzmaster aesthetics, making them a tasteful upgrade for restoration projects or modern offsets alike.
• Wax-potted for Reliability - Wax potting helps to control unwanted microphonic feedback and protects the internal components, giving you a more stable performance at higher volumes. This makes the Coastline 65 set well suited to gigging players who rely on pedals and louder amplifiers.
