Product Description
One pickup, one knob, one mission: pure rock. The Epiphone Joan Jett Olympic Special in Vintage Sunburst strips everything back to what really matters, channelling Joan’s fearless, no-nonsense approach into a lean, loud and liberating instrument. With a single PowerHammer Pro humbucker, one volume control and a killswitch-style on/off toggle, it is built to plug in, turn up and cut straight through the mix with attitude to spare.
Inspired by Joan Jett’s original Olympic Special, this signature model blends classic Epiphone style with modern reliability. A lightweight mahogany body and glued-in mahogany neck keep things resonant and responsive, while the 12 inch radius rosewood fingerboard and Olympic Special neck profile feel fast, familiar and ready for anything. Finished in a Vintage Gloss Vintage Sunburst with black plastics and a double classic white pickup cover, it looks as sharp and unapologetic as it sounds.
Every detail is geared towards focus and feel. The simplified control layout keeps you locked into the performance, not the settings, while the asymmetrical double cutaway body gives you the freedom to move and reach the upper frets with ease. Die-cast tuners and a Graph Tech nut provide solid tuning stability, and a reproduction of Joan’s signature on the back of the headstock adds a personal, collectible touch for fans.
Whether you are slamming out power chords, leading a band from the front or chasing that raw, immediate rock tone, the Epiphone Joan Jett Olympic Special delivers a direct connection between your hands, your amp and the audience. It is a focused, attitude-packed guitar for players who want to be heard and remembered.
PowerHammer Pro Humbucker
At the heart of the Joan Jett Olympic Special is a single PowerHammer Pro humbucker in the bridge position, delivering a punchy, unfiltered rock voice. With no extra pickups or complex switching to get in the way, every note feels immediate and expressive, encouraging you to dig in, play harder and let your dynamics do the talking.
Stripped-back Controls
The single CTS volume control and on/off toggle switch keep things ultra simple so you can stay focused on your performance. The black Speed knob with rubber grip makes quick volume swells and adjustments easy, while the toggle doubles as a handy killswitch for rhythmic stutter effects and dramatic stops.
Comfortable Mahogany Construction
A lightweight mahogany body with an asymmetrical double cutaway offers excellent balance, comfort and upper-fret access. Paired with a glued-in mahogany neck and 24.75 inch scale length, the Olympic Special feels familiar under the fingers and responds with warm, resonant sustain that suits everything from chunky rhythm work to searing leads.
Joan Jett Signature Style
From the classic Olympic body silhouette to the Vintage Sunburst Vintage Gloss finish and black hardware, this guitar captures Joan Jett’s iconic aesthetic. The gold reproduction of her signature on the back of the headstock adds a unique artist touch, making it a great choice for fans and players who want an instrument that reflects an independent, uncompromising rock spirit.
