Electro Harmonix Pico Shimmer Cosmic Reverb Mini Pedal

The Electro Harmonix Pico Shimmer Cosmic Reverb Mini Pedal takes the huge, cinematic shimmer sounds of the Oceans series and squeezes them into a compact, pedalboard friendly enclosure. Combining reverb, modulation, delay and synthesis, it turns your guitar or synth into an immersive ambient instrument, from subtle halo-like trails to vast, evolving soundscapes.

With three distinct shimmer Scenes and a powerful Voice control, Pico Shimmer lets you move effortlessly between classic octave shimmer, lush synth pads and glitchy, sparkling textures. Simple, intuitive controls keep you focused on playing, while secondary functions and momentary infinite reverb give you deep creative control when you want it. Whether you are adding a touch of atmosphere to clean chords or building towering ambient swells, Pico Shimmer delivers studio grade ambience in a tiny footprint.

Three Shimmer Scenes

The Pico Shimmer gives you instant access to three carefully voiced Scenes: Intergalactic, Off World and Etherdust. Intergalactic blends polyphonic octaves, plate reverb, modulated delay, compression and a string synthesis engine for huge, cinematic shimmer tones. Off World smooths things out with a mellower, more vintage flavoured shimmer that wraps your sound in warm, orbiting pads. Etherdust introduces randomised delay times for glitchy, stuttering textures that can flicker between granular sparkles and pronounced glitch echoes, ideal for experimental players and sound designers.

Expressive Voice Control

At the heart of Pico Shimmer is the Voice knob, which morphs the effect from a relatively straight plate reverb through classic shimmer and into ethereal string like textures. This continuous control makes it easy to dial in exactly how prominent and synthetic you want the shimmer to be, without diving into menus or presets. From barely there sparkle that enhances your core tone to full on synth like washes that completely transform your instrument, the Voice control keeps everything under your fingertips.

Simple Controls, Deep Options

Despite its compact size, Pico Shimmer is designed to be both straightforward and flexible. Blend sets your wet or dry mix so you can sit the effect perfectly in a band mix or push it to fully wet for ambient swells. Time adjusts the decay from short, room like tails to infinite reverb for endless pads. Tone shapes the overall brightness, letting you tame harsh highs or emphasise shimmering top end. Pressing and holding the Scene button unlocks secondary functions for reverb mix, delay time and modulation depth and rate, giving you deeper control without cluttering the pedal with extra knobs.

Infinite Reverb On Tap

For live ambient swells and pad like backdrops, Pico Shimmer features momentary infinite reverb via the footswitch. Simply press and hold to freeze the current reverb tail and create a sustained bed of sound, then play over the top with a dry or differently treated signal. This makes it easy to build layered textures in real time without additional loopers or complex routing, perfect for solo performers, worship players and anyone who wants to fill space with lush, evolving ambience.

• Three Distinct Shimmer Scenes - Intergalactic, Off World and Etherdust cover everything from classic octave shimmer to smooth synth pads and glitchy, experimental textures, giving you a wide palette of ambient sounds in a single mini pedal.
• Morphable Voice Control - The Voice knob smoothly shifts the character from plate reverb to shimmer to string like synthesis, so you can fine tune how pronounced and synthetic the effect is without scrolling through menus.
• Compact, Performance Ready Layout - With Blend, Time and Tone on the front panel plus secondary controls for mix, delay and modulation, you get both quick, gig friendly operation and deeper tweakability when you need it.
• Infinite Reverb and Flexible Bypass - Momentary infinite reverb via the footswitch lets you create instant pads on stage, while three buffered bypass modes (Digital, Analogue and Hybrid) help you integrate Pico Shimmer seamlessly into any rig.
