Dean MLX Floyd Electric Guitar in Classic Black

The Dean MLX Floyd Classic Black takes the iconic ML shape and packs it into an affordable, stage ready rock machine. With high output DMT humbuckers, a fast bolt on maple neck and a Floyd Rose FR20 tremolo, it is built for players who want aggressive tones, wild divebombs and standout looks without breaking the bank.

Part of Dean’s X Series, the MLX Floyd keeps the essentials that make their high end models so popular, while stripping things back to what really matters for performance. Eastern mahogany delivers the punch and sustain you need for heavy riffs, while the sleek gloss black finish, full body binding and classic ML silhouette ensure you look as bold as you sound.

The comfortable C profile neck, 22 jumbo frets and 12 inch radius Indian rosewood fingerboard make fast runs, bends and big chords feel effortless. Paired with a locking Floyd Rose R3 nut and sealed die cast tuners, the FR20 tremolo bridge lets you go to extremes with your vibrato while keeping tuning tight and stable. Independent volume controls for each pickup and a master tone knob give you simple, effective control over your sound on stage or in the studio.

Whether you are stepping up from your first guitar or you are a seasoned player looking for a reliable metal workhorse, the Dean MLX Floyd Classic Black delivers the feel, tone and attitude that the ML is famous for, at a price that is easy to justify.

High Output DMT Pickups

The MLX Floyd is loaded with a pair of DMT Design humbuckers voiced for high output, saturation and clarity. From tight, palm muted rhythm work to searing leads, they provide plenty of bite and punch while still cleaning up when you roll back the volume, making this guitar versatile enough for everything from classic rock to modern metal.

Floyd Rose FR20 Tremolo System

With a Floyd Rose FR20 bridge and a locking R3 nut, you can dive, flutter and pull up with confidence. The double locking design helps keep your tuning stable even under extreme tremolo use, so you can focus on performance rather than constantly re tuning between songs.

Fast, Comfortable Neck

The bolt on maple neck with a comfortable C profile, 24 3/4 inch scale length and 12 inch radius Indian rosewood fingerboard is built for speed and control. Jumbo frets make bends and vibrato feel smooth and precise, while the pearloid dot inlays keep things clear and classic under stage lights.

Classic ML Style with Full Binding

Finished in gloss Classic Black with white binding on the body, neck and headstock, this guitar has a striking, high end look. The aggressive ML body shape not only turns heads, it also offers great upper fret access and a balanced feel when standing, making it as practical as it is eye catching.
