Product Description
The Dean ML 79 Flame Maple Floyd in Trans Brazilia takes the iconic ML silhouette and arms it for modern rock and metal. With a resonant eastern mahogany body, striking flame maple top and a double locking Floyd Rose Special trem, this is a guitar built for huge tone, wild whammy work and fast, expressive playing.
Loaded with DMT Design humbuckers, a comfortable V profile set neck and 22 jumbo frets, the ML 79 delivers everything from singing blues leads to tight, aggressive rhythm work. If you want a visually bold, stage ready instrument that feels effortless under the fingers and stays in tune through the most extreme divebombs, this Dean is ready to take command.
Classic ML Power with Modern Playability
The legendary ML body shape is more than just eye catching. The extended wings help balance the guitar perfectly whether you are standing or sitting, while also contributing to its big, open acoustic voice. Combined with the set neck construction and medium V profile, you get a solid, connected feel that encourages confident rhythm work and fluid lead playing across the entire neck.
Eastern Mahogany Body and Flame Maple Top
An eastern mahogany body provides the warm, punchy foundation that hard rock and metal players love, with plenty of sustain and low midrange heft. The flame maple top adds snap and clarity, helping your riffs cut through a busy mix and giving leads extra definition. Visually, the figured maple under the Trans Brazilia finish creates a dramatic, high end look that stands out under stage lights.
Floyd Rose Special Tremolo and R3 Locking Nut
The Floyd Rose Special bridge and R3 locking nut let you dive, flutter and squeal without worrying about tuning stability. By locking the strings at the nut and using a double locking bridge design, the system keeps your tuning rock solid even with heavy tremolo use. It is ideal for players who rely on expressive vibrato, pitch shifts and extreme whammy techniques as part of their sound.
DMT Design Humbuckers and Versatile Controls
A pair of DMT Design humbuckers deliver the high output crunch and sustain you need for classic rock and metal, while still cleaning up nicely when you roll back the volume. With independent neck and bridge volume controls, a shared tone control and a three way toggle, you can quickly dial in everything from thick, singing neck tones to tight, cutting bridge sounds and blended textures in between.
Features
- Eastern Mahogany Body with Flame Maple Top - The combination of a solid eastern mahogany body and flame maple top gives you a powerful, sustaining tone with plenty of warmth and punch. The maple adds brightness and definition, helping your riffs and solos stay clear and articulate at high gain.
