Product Description
Modelled on Arch Enemy legend Michael Amott’s own signature axe, the Dean Michael Amott Tyrant X Splatter is built to deliver unapologetic metal attitude. With its aggressive offset body, high-output DMT Design humbuckers and a brutal blood-splatter finish chosen by Michael himself, this guitar is all about huge riffs, searing leads and a stage presence that cannot be ignored.
A solid terentang body and top provide a punchy, resonant platform for tight rhythm work and singing sustain, while the bolt-on maple neck and granadillo fretboard keep things fast and responsive under the fingers. Add in 22 jumbo frets, a comfortable Michael Amott C-shaped profile and rock-solid hardware, and you have a serious metal machine that is ready for anything from old-school thrash to modern melodic death metal.
The twin DMT Design humbuckers are voiced for heavy music, dishing out thick, chunky lows and cutting highs that stay articulate under high gain. Simple controls keep you focused on playing: a three-way toggle switch plus individual volume and tone knobs give you instant access to everything from tight rhythm crunch to screaming lead tones.
Visually, the Tyrant X Splatter is as extreme as the sounds it produces. The sharp, bevelled body and stark blood-splatter finish make a bold statement under stage lights, ensuring your guitar looks every bit as ferocious as your playing. If you want an instrument that captures the spirit of Michael Amott’s signature style and stands out in any line-up, this is it.
High-Output Metal Tones
Equipped with DMT Design humbuckers in both neck and bridge positions, the Tyrant X Splatter is voiced for aggressive, high-gain playing. These pickups deliver super-chunky lows for palm-muted riffs, tight mids for definition in complex chords and ear-splitting highs that cut through any mix, making it ideal for modern metal and hard rock.
Fast Michael Amott C-Shaped Neck
The maple neck is carved to Michael Amott’s own C-shaped specification, giving you a comfortable, slim feel that encourages speed and precision. Combined with a 24 3/4 inch scale length, 12 inch fretboard radius and 22 jumbo frets, it offers an effortless playing experience for rapid-fire riffs, wide bends and fluid legato runs.
Striking Blood-Splatter Finish
The intense blood-splatter finish was personally chosen by Michael Amott for maximum visual impact. Paired with the Tyrant body shape and bevelled edges, it creates a brutal, eye-catching look that demands attention on stage and perfectly matches the guitar’s heavy sonic character.
Solid, Reliable Hardware
A Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover tuners provide a stable, dependable platform for aggressive playing. The fixed bridge helps maintain tuning under heavy picking and big bends, while the quality tuners and 500k audio taper pots ensure smooth, accurate adjustments so your sound stays tight and controlled.
