Product Description
The dBTechnologies OPERA NONA 212 is a powerful quasi-3-way active loudspeaker designed for live performance, DJ applications and portable PA systems where extended low-frequency response and high output are required. Its acoustic design combines two 12-inch ceramic woofers with a coaxial mid-high-frequency driver, delivering controlled 90° x 60° coverage and consistent sound across the listening area. A 1000 W RMS Class D amplifier provides up to 132.5 dB SPL, while integrated DSP with linear phase FIR filters helps optimise the system for different applications. Seven selectable presets cover Club, Vocal, Bass Reduction, Playback, Bass Boost, Wedge Vocal and Wedge Playback configurations. Two independent balanced combo inputs allow microphones, instruments and playback sources to be connected directly, with individual sensitivity and level controls for straightforward operation. The OPERA NONA 212 can be used as a main PA speaker, stage monitor or fill speaker, with multiple M10 rigging points, a D36 mm pole mount and two wedge angles. Its polypropylene enclosure, three handles and manageable 22.5 kg weight make it practical for portable professional sound reinforcement.
Features
- Quasi 3 Way Coaxial Design - Two 12-inch ceramic woofers work with a coaxial mid-high driver for extended low-frequency response and controlled, consistent coverage.
- 1000 W RMS Class D Amplification - The integrated amplifier delivers up to 132.5 dB SPL, providing substantial output for live performance, DJs and portable PA applications.
- Integrated DSP with FIR Filters - Seven selectable presets and linear phase FIR filters optimise the speaker for playback, vocals, bass-focused applications and stage monitoring.
Flexible PA Performance:
The OPERA NONA 212 is designed to handle demanding sound reinforcement applications where high output and extended low-frequency response are important. Its two 12-inch ceramic woofers provide substantial low end, while the coaxial mid-high-frequency driver maintains a coherent sound across the speaker's 90° x 60° coverage pattern. With a maximum SPL of 132.5 dB, the system is suitable for live performances, DJ sets, portable PA systems and other applications requiring significant acoustic output. The 1000 W RMS Class D amplifier provides the necessary power in a compact active design, while peak, RMS and thermal limiting help protect the system during demanding operation. Two independent balanced inputs also allow different sources to be connected directly, making the OPERA NONA 212 a practical solution for a wide range of professional audio setups.
DSP Presets and Control:
Onboard DSP gives the OPERA NONA 212 flexibility across different sound reinforcement environments. Seven selectable presets provide dedicated settings for Club, Vocal, Bass Reduction, Playback, Bass Boost, Wedge Vocal and Wedge Playback applications. Linear phase FIR filters are used within the DSP architecture to help maintain consistent system response and phase characteristics. Two independent input channels feature individual sensitivity switches and level controls, allowing microphones, instruments and playback sources to be managed directly from the rear panel. An output routing selector provides additional flexibility when integrating the speaker into a wider PA system. The system also includes a ground lift switch to help manage unwanted ground-related noise when connecting multiple pieces of equipment.
Portable and Install-Friendly Design:
The OPERA NONA 212 combines portable handling with several options for positioning and installation. Its polypropylene enclosure incorporates three handles, with two positioned on the sides and one on top, making the 22.5 kg cabinet easier to move and position. A D36 mm pole mount supports standard speaker stand configurations, while three M10 rigging points allow the cabinet to be suspended in suitable installations. Two wedge angles provide flexibility when the speaker is used as a floor monitor, with dedicated Wedge Vocal and Wedge Playback presets available to complement these configurations. The cabinet measures 350 mm wide, 717 mm high and 371 mm deep, providing a substantial two-woofer system in a format suitable for portable professional sound reinforcement.
