The CME WIDI K.O.II is a premium Bluetooth MIDI adapter custom-designed for teenage engineering’s EP-series: the EP-133 K.O.II, EP-1320 medieval and EP-40 riddim. Acting as a virtual MIDI cable, it lets you connect your favourite hardware, controllers and smart devices wirelessly over Bluetooth, with ultra-low latency and rock-solid performance, so you can keep your setup clean and fully portable.

With Bluetooth 5, CME’s SCA Smart Connectivity Algorithms and a working range of up to 20 metres (65 feet) without obstacles, WIDI K.O.II delivers professional MIDI performance without the clutter of cables or the need for a computer. It plugs straight into the TRS MIDI ports of your EP-series device, draws power directly from it, and automatically pairs with other WIDI units or standard Bluetooth MIDI gear, making it a genuinely plug, pair and play solution.

Whether you want to make your K.O.II the brain of a hardware synth rig, pair medieval with a Bluetooth controller, or hook riddim up to your phone, tablet or laptop, WIDI K.O.II gives you the flexibility to build a fully wireless MIDI ecosystem. It transmits any MIDI message, including notes, CC, MIDI clock, SysEx and MPE, and can be expanded into powerful multi-device setups using the free WIDI app for iOS and Android.

CME’s SCA Smart Connectivity Algorithms optimise Bluetooth performance and minimise interference, achieving latency as low as 3 ms between two WIDI devices. With data rates up to 400 kbps, far beyond standard wired MIDI, you get a responsive, cable-like playing experience suitable for tight grooves, clock sync and expressive performance.

Fully standalone wireless MIDI

WIDI K.O.II is powered directly from the TRS MIDI OUT port of your K.O.II, medieval or riddim, so there is no need for batteries, USB power or a computer. Simply plug it in, power up your EP device and you are ready to transmit and receive MIDI over Bluetooth, making it ideal for minimal, on-the-go and live performance setups.

Flexible connectivity and Bluetooth MIDI groups

From pairing a Bluetooth MIDI controller directly to your K.O.II, to linking EP-series units with other hardware via multiple WIDI devices, WIDI K.O.II supports a wide range of configurations. It works with standard Bluetooth MIDI devices from brands like Yamaha, Roland, Korg, Akai and Roli, and via the WIDI app you can create Bluetooth MIDI groups of up to five devices, set fixed pairs and build 1-to-4 split/thru or 4-to-1 merge setups across 16 MIDI channels.
