The CME C2MIDI Pro is a compact, dual purpose USB C to MIDI solution that works both as a class compliant USB MIDI interface and as a standalone smart MIDI cable. Whether you are connecting your computer, tablet or phone to a hardware synth, or directly linking two MIDI devices without a computer, C2MIDI Pro keeps your setup tidy while giving you powerful routing, filtering and mapping options via the free UxMIDI Tools software.

In USB MIDI interface mode, C2MIDI Pro lets you plug straight into a USB C port on your Mac, PC or compatible mobile device and talk to any MIDI hardware with traditional 5 pin DIN connections. In smart MIDI cable mode, it becomes a self contained bridge between two MIDI devices, powered directly from the MIDI Out port so you do not need an extra power supply. For live rigs, studio desks and compact controller setups, it is a flexible way to keep everything talking to everything else.

Unlike a basic MIDI cable, C2MIDI Pro works hand in hand with CME’s UxMIDI Tools app on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. USB MIDI Interface Mode

In USB MIDI interface mode, you simply connect the USB C plug to your operating system and the 5 pin DIN connectors to your MIDI hardware. Your device sees C2MIDI Pro as a standard MIDI interface, letting you sequence hardware from your DAW, record MIDI performances, or use software instruments alongside external synths and drum machines with minimal fuss.

Smart MIDI Cable Mode

Switching to smart MIDI cable mode lets you connect two MIDI devices directly via the 5 pin DIN connectors, with power supplied from the MIDI Out port. This is ideal when you want a controller keyboard to drive a sound module, or a hardware sequencer to control a synth, without involving a computer. It keeps live rigs streamlined and reduces potential points of failure.
