Product Description
The Catalinbread Little Secret Preamp takes everything players love about the Dirty Little Secret and strips it right back to the bare-knuckle Plexi-style preamp. In short, it’s a dinky Marshall-flavoured tone machine that punches well above its weight!
Big Marshall attitude, tiny footprint
By ditching the frills and focusing purely on the core engine, Catalinbread have bottled that legendary British roar in their smallest enclosure yet. Snarling mids, tight lows and that glorious edge-of-breakup grind are all possible, all without taking up precious pedalboard real estate. Now that’s a win-win.
Stacks like a proper amp
Run it on its own and you’re straight into classic rock territory. But where the Little Secret really shines is how it stacks. Throw other gain pedals in front and it responds like a real amp, with that squashy, touch-sensitive tube-like compression. Or stick it at the end of your drive chain into a clean amp and use your amp’s EQ to fine-tune the magic.
Features
- Pre‑Amp control: At the heart of the Little Secret are two mu‑amp gain stages, and this control lets you decide how hard the first stage hits the second. Crank for more gain, compression and that chewy, tube‑like growl you’d get from a proper Plexi‑style preamp.
- 9–18V operation: Run it at 9V for a tighter, more compressed feel, or step up to 18V for extra headroom, improved dynamics, and a more open, amp‑like response. Same pedal — two distinct flavours.
