PJD Custom Shop
PJD Custom Shop
Based in York, England, the PJD Custom Shop is famed for building some of the most highly regarded electric guitars ever produced in the UK. Meticulously built to the highest standard and crafted from the finest materials available, these boutique British-built electric guitars have been seen on stages around the world and are used by some of the most respected players on the scene.
PJD’s Six Core Models
The PJD Custom Shop offers 6 unique models, each offering its own distinct image while also catering for different genres and playing styles. The Carey draws inspiration from one of the most iconic single-cut electric guitars ever produced. The St John pays homage to the offset guitars of the late ‘50s and ‘60s, and the York is a reimagining of the classic T-style design that helped put electric guitars on the map. The Romulus features an ergonomic double-cut design in combination with 24 frets and modern-voiced pickups, making it the perfect choice for players who demand precision and power. Quite possibly the most versatile model in the lineup, the Woodford is PJD’s take on the legendary S-style body shape, and finally the Valhalla offers a fresh take on the offset design, with refined contours and elegant cutaways for a premium, modern, boutique feel.

Who Are PJD Guitars?
Founded as a one-man operation in 2010 by Leigh Dovey, PJD has steadily grown into one of the largest British guitar manufacturers. Originally based in London from a small home workshop, Leigh inherited his love and passion for woodwork at an early age from his father, a prop maker for the Royal Opera House in Covent Gardens. 7 years later, the operation was moved to a larger facility in York, where PJD has gone from strength to strength.
Built using the finest materials and components and built with a level of care and attention that could only be achieved in this sort of workshop, PJD has grown a steady reputation as some of the finest guitars available. With standardised models and offerings to suit every type of player, from their budget-friendly Origin Series to their full-bore British-built Custom Shop range, there is a PJD for everyone.
