The Custom 24 is the definitive PRS guitar. Unveiled at the 1985 NAMM Show, this stellar six-string was PRS’ very first production model and it remains their most popular instrument even today. Distinctive for its flying bird fingerboard inlays, dual humbuckers, 24 frets and ergonomic contours - the Custom 24 is considered a modern classic among guitarists.
PRS' Custom 24 model boasts a Mahogany body, delivering a warm sound with plenty of harmonic richness in the mid-range. Adorned with a gorgeous Quilted Maple top, this instrument's beauty is guaranteed to inspire you to pick it up and play for hours on end!
Joining the body is an exquisite stained Maple neck carved to PRS' acclaimed "Pattern Thin" profile. Providing a speedy yet supportive feel, the neck is also topped with a silky smooth Ebony fingerboard that offers a luxurious touch under the fingers. The 25" scale length is another noteworthy detail, offering optimal string tension.
The PRS Patented Gen III tremolo keeps things solid, with its beautifully-machined design offering a comfy feel and a smooth vibrato arm action. At the other end of the guitar you’ll find a set of PRS Phase III Locking machine heads that'll keep your tuning super-stable, while making string changes a lot easier too.
PRS' Custom 24 features 85/15 Treble and Bass humbuckers, capturing the essence of the company's original 1985 pickups but with a more modern and punchy voice. The clarity and unique tones of these pickups are both big and nuanced, so that you can easily find their tonal sweet spot with clean or distorted amp settings.
