Product Description

Hand-built in the UK, the PJD St. John Standard is a beautifully made electric guitar equipped with high-quality electronics and hardware. Boasting a solid Obeche body and Maple neck, this instrument sounds stunning, and feels simply exquisite to play.

Exquisite Tones

The new PJD St. John Standard is a solid bodied guitar featuring belly cut and arm rest contours with a Bigsby tremolo. Fitted with a PJD Parkins Cream P90 and a Wadfather Zebra Coil Humbucker. These hand wound pickups provide a huge dynamic range with a clear and expressive voice. The P90 pickup in the neck gives you a sparkly, punchy, and bright tone. Whereas the Wadfather Zebra Coil Humbucker in the bridge offers a that classic deep, rich, and aggressive tone, perfect for soloing a classic rock style riff.

Comfortable Construction

The Standards lightweight Obeche body is resonant and musical, which makes long stints on stage, practicing or in the studio comfortable. The plain Maple neck offers a comfortable and familiar feeling “C” shape profile with medium jumbo Jescar frets for plenty of brightness and expression in the nuance of your playing style.

Key features

  • Versatile Hand-Wound Pickups – The sonic range of the St. John Standard combines two classic sounds with their own unique character to give you a punchy, bright, and warm tonal variety.
  • Unique Finish – The unique finish on the body and neck is satin nitrocellulose and open pore Obeche which presents a stylish and unique look as well as holding ambient tonal resonance.
  • Comfortable Neck Profile – Famously familiar, the “C” shape neck profile provides a great response that is comfortable and inviting to play for all players and playing styles, offering you the ability to move around the neck swiftly and effortlessly as it gradually gets thinner towards the body heel carve.
