Maestro have been shaping innovation and quality in tone since 1962. With a strong legacy and reputation for cutting edge and unique pedals, Maestro is THE founder of guitar effects and the originator of Rock and Roll! The all new Original Collection speaks directly to its DNA while catering to the needs of today's players with updated, innovative versions of classic effects. Shape your sound with Maestro!
The Maestro Fuzz-Tone FM-Z is a modern recreation of the iconic FZ-1; the very first guitar effect ever made. With an all-analogue circuit, the Fuzz-Tone FM-Z pedal boasts two drastically different modes for increased sonic versatility. One one side, you have the classic FZ-1 tone that is honky and nasal, and on the other side, a thicker, chewier, more modern sounding fuzz.
The Fuzz-Tone FM-Z features a classic 3-knob control set up giving you intuitive control over the effect. The Attack knob controls the amount of fuzz while the Tone control lets you dial in the perfect sound, from bright and raspy to warm and woolly and everything in between! The level control has plenty of headroom which means you can push it well beyond unity gain. By pushing the volume, the FZ-M can be used as a boost to hit the front end of your amp harder, resulting in more grit and a tighter sound.
